Its still nostalgic to see the old single screen theatre to run its magic. Although not like todays multiplex, but yes it definately has its own magic touch.
Don't expect to have a five star treatment but its more of a connection that you share. If you have any memories from your childhood you can revive them.
The auditorium is huge and the sound is also really good. They have still maintained the interiors and have not changed it. The seats are not cushion or leather but they are pretty comfortable.
Its one of the better single screen theatres and also a successful one.

Some movies like 96' are better to watch in single screen than multiplex... so Aurora is perfect place....🤟👍old theater, but still comfortable one..

One of the iconic cinema talkies of mumbai still carries that special zest . If you want to experience old style cinema then this is the place to be. Apart from this the theater is dedicated to SUPER STAR Rajnikant.
Any Rajinikanth movies that is released this is the place to watch it

Simple and very minimum comfort comparing to any other theatre. lack of maintenance in many places inside the campus. Charges too much for this theatre.

I have grown up in Matunga, and this single screen theatre was the highlight of Matunga's history. Aurora is a very old theatre and mostly screens south Indian movies. Nights shows are Hindi movies. Best part of going here is to see a 9 pm show come out and go to classic restaurant and then go home ... All this walking. Matunga is not very big. This is the place where you will see large cut outs of Rajnikant during release of his movies. Dharavi crowd throngs here to see hit Tamil and Telugu movies.

Nowadays very few movies are screened here and it is no match in ambience with the multiplexes or today.

It's located at matunga opposite to sndt college and it's near by king circle station as well as matunga station. This is the old theater for dharavi people as well as for all tamil people around mumbai. Once the tamil movie release here we can see the celebration of the people the place will be seen like festival. The place is good clean and neat. The priçe for the snacks is affordable compare to other theatre. The favourite adda for college students as well as for couple.

If you are SUPERSTAR RAJNI fan, then you must watch his movies in Aurora theatre in Matunga. And yes stall seats are preferred over balcony seat. Environment in theatre energetic and full of fun. People dance and shout like crazy for every super duper action stunts and songs. Watching movie of SUPERSTAR RAJNI here on first day is thrilling experience. Thought the theatre is maintained OK type but energy level in movie keep you entertained through out the movie.
Washrooms are maintained in good condition.

Very old movie theatre but still maintained with absolute updation of screen, dolby sound and stadium seating. Tamil film lovers can have good time here as it is one of few movie halls in mumbai to release all new tamil films and latest hindi films too..

It was different experience after long time back to the theatre. It's one of the oldest Theatre in Mumbai. It's also a landmark to this place.
For Tamil audiences it's a only theatre that realise all new Tamil movies of all big and small hero's. In Mumbai the maximum Tamil movies is realised in this theatre. For new Tamil movies people come from far away places.

Very nice sanitation, good screen, good sound effects , but some seats are little broken , screen number 1 seat number E6 is broken , till end of finish sarkar movie I didn't sit properly. Overall Nice to watch with family

am here for every movie,be it Tamil or hindi or english.Its at a walking distance from my house so I enjoy with an impulsive decision of watching a movie.
The samosas and the cold drinks are very affordable so are the aactual tickets unlike the multiplex.Still remmeber how the theatre got converted with ac and the dolby music system for the MOVIE TITANIC to be screened.

Nice place for lowest budget enjoyable for new movie full freedom not seat are comfortable but it's ok other snacks and samosa are very low prize other then cinema hall

We have visiting this place for a long time. The place is well and tidy. And movie experience is simply great.

Awesome theatre for South Indians ..... But seats are tooo old.. maintenance is too bad other then that sound and screen size is big ... Feel the movie

Our south indian best cinema hall....i love the aurora talkies....many multiplex in mumbai...but watching in aurora it's mind blowing....
