Eros IMAX, Mumbai

Beautiful renovation done. It is a single screen Imax with laser projection. The seats have enough leg space and the staff are polite. The ticket prices are little at par or a little less compared to other IMAX theatres in Mumbai. The screen looks worn out in some places, the audio is great but I did not hear any surround sound, not sure if the theatre has it. Overall it is a good theatre and I will visit here again

Watched Dune : Part Two here in IMAX. Great experience. Amazing picture and sound quality, great architecture.

Great new IMAX cinema with laser technology. Only two things to be changed, one is add signs outside at entrance showing where the box office is as the cinema is on the second floor(there's elevators) and other is to add a another door at entrance of Audi 1 (whenever someone enters mid movie the bright lights ruin the immersive experience). Another thing I'd like to add is that it is still single laser and not dual projectors as expected, but in line with other cinemas such as PVRCinemas Phoenix mall theatre. This theatre is not a multiplex. Staff are courteous and friendly. Also one suggestion is they could close or dim the lights for seats arrangements, that would be great as the blue colour reflected on the screen during dark scenes were very visible and hurts the immersive IMAX experience. Sound was loud and crisp. Images were clear and great contrast. Out of all mumbai IMAX screens this one is top 3 with Phoenix being at top as it's the only one that has Recliners inside IMAX and laser tech. Malad probably has slightly bigger screen but it lacks laser technological upgrade.

"Dune 2" in IMAX: Epic sequel, immersive experience, breathtaking visuals, unparalleled sound. Sound was very amazing better then imax r city and inorbit and it is imax laser

This was an experience i am taking it with me. Got to watch dune part two in imax and boy it was something i have never seen. Kudos to eros for doing such a great job. 10/10 would recommend to not miss this experience.

Newly renovated theatre, earlier it was single screen but now INOX has turned into an IMAX theatre, loved the experience here, I had many childhood memories with this theatre as I used to come here with my Father.

The place was fully air conditioned and the staff was awesome

Located just outside Church Gate Railway Station. This is one of the oldest Cinema Theatre in Mumbai. Gives you nostalgic feeling with its screen size which still houses the traditional 70mm format. Relive the golden days by catching a flick in the original and giant format of Movies like old days :)

Well, the theatre is under renovation & we hope to see it runs again with the iconic screening & at prime location.
Well, it's very well located near to colleges, Offices, Churchgate station.
So in future, when you are bored with the office load, just chuck everything, hit this theatre 😉

The Eros Cinema is an Art Deco style, now defunct, cinema theatre located in Cambata Building at Churchgate, Mumbai, India. It has a seating capacity of 1,204 people per show.

The foundation of Eros Cinema was laid in 1935. The cinema opened in 1938 and construction of this building on the then newly reclaimed Backbay plot housing shops and other businesses, apart from the cinema, took about two and a half years to complete

Partially faced with red Agra sandstone, this building is painted cream. The two wings of this Art Deco building meet up in a central block. The foyer is in white and black marble with touches of gold. Marble staircases with chromium handrails lead up to the upper floor. The murals are in muted colours depicting Indian architectures.

The building is part of The Victorian and Art Deco Ensemble of Mumbai, which was added to the list of World Heritage Sites in 2018.

The Eros Cinema has been defunct since 2016. The Cambata Building which houses the theatre was sealed by the City Collector due to legal disputes but was later unsealed on the order of Bombay High Court, but the screening at the theatre has not been resumed.

However, the Cambata Family who owns the building has been in talks with other cinema businesses to revive the Eros Cinema with some renovation and changes to the building without harming the heritage structure.

Eros is a Vintage Theatre which is now renewed in churchgate with limited screens... And with budget friendly cost of tickets... Beautiful vintage exterior with modern interior style... It is well equipped with all the furnish and fixtures and 2d screens.... And much more.... Its more than a movie experience.... So get your gang and go for a movie....
