Staying at the Taj was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the breathtaking views of the Cochin harbour took my breath away. The resort’s blend of classic elegance and modern luxury was evident in every detail, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the impeccable service. The spa treatments were a highlight, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. Dining at the resort was a delight, with a variety of cuisines that catered to every taste. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious escape in Cochin while enjoying the backwaters.

In good weather, enjoy light snacks, juices and beverages at Sunset at the Jetty with a sunset view unlike any you have witnessed before. Situated at a hive of activity, you can watch ships entering and leaving the port, cruise liners flaunting their majestic forms and of course the magnificence of a sunset

A well designed place for a family function or a get together party. Really a wonderful service by their chefs and the quality of the food was excellent Hats off to the Resort's staff members to make us truly comfortable there. A great experience to be honest.

Overall it's a outstanding experience. When you come from the west to a place like India, you expect some limitations in the service and amenities. However, I would have to say this is on par with some of the high-end hotels in the west, and definitely would recommend for those who are visiting Cochin to check this place out.

The hotel has a fantastic location as it’s restaurants, gardens and swimming pool are perched right at the tip of the island with an amazing ocean view. The staff is extremely courteous and the service is very good. Food is good too. The place is well maintained and the rooms are spacious and neat. The entire hotel is decorated with antique furniture and pieces that make the place warm and cozy. The bar is a highlight and great to sit back and relax with family. The hotel conducts a well organized sunset cruise for everyone who stays at the property everyday - the staff does a fantastic job on this tour.

Celebrated my Dad’s birthday. Absolutely lovely experience. The dining was at a temporary tent outside the restaurant. Great coordination by staff especially Sojan who was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in renovation till next year so all services weren’t readily available. Otherwise great place to create memories!

The accommodations are nothing short of luxurious. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and offered breathtaking views of the serene waters. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities was remarkable. It felt like a home away from home, only much more indulgent.

This resort is very good with all types of special facilities.
The rooms are great, and the staff is very kind hearted and very cooperative.
And the location is very very great you can feel relaxed and you can feel a different vibe.

The property is located on Willingdon Island, far away from the main Kochi city and hence, local transport is not easily available.

The resort was spectacular. Rooms are too hygine and the service was amazing. I will recommend this place to enjoy your vibes

We had a enjoyable stay in March this year. The rooms were very clean and the views from the room were the best. Service and attention to guests right from check in was outstanding. We will definitely come back to this property. A special mention about the Front Office Manager Mr. Sunil who made our stay most comfortable & enjoyable.

Great resort,It's a really nice hotel, and the rooms are very nicely decorated. I have a very good feeling in this hotel and the behavior of the staff is very nice. I hope to visit the family next time.

Taj in India and abroad is synonymous with quality, luxury and memorable experience. It's a name you can rely on. The staff is very courteous and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The hotel closes for a full renovation end of August to open for Christmas and New year's 🤞. It was one of the first hotel buildings built in Kochi, and was taken over by Taj in 1980s. The rooms are spacious, the food is amazing. Do try rice boat's taster menu, as it's worth the money spent.
If you are staying there, tower block has better views and heritage wing has spacious accomodation.
The half day house boat excursion though expensive, is totally worth it, especially if you can buy fresh catch and the chef cooks it for you in the Kumarakom Castle boat.
There is also complimentary evening tea and snacks with dances and sunset cruise for all who stay at the hotel.
My only feedback, modern day definition of luxury is simplicity, showcasing kerala's beautiful fabrics and tapestry. Either have ornate ceilings or have ornate furniture or vice versa, not both. Lighter wood adds to the already spacious interior.

The property is located on Willingdon Island, far away from the main Kochi city and hence, local transport is not easily available. You would need to have a taxi for local travel unless you are enthusiastic enough to hop on to a local ferry that is available from a boat point about 700m from the hotel. But, having a taxi is a must especially for travel at night times. It’s a perfect staycation place. I’d love visiting this place again!

Don't mis this place. It's abosoluty suitable place to stay on and business dealings. Good behaviour of staffs and securities. Nice view points and atmosphere makes you energetic.

We were very impressed by this Taj Hotel. It is the second Taj that we have stayed at after having stayed in Fishermans Cove in Chennai. They are doing extensive construction and remodeling so the main reception area was closed off. Despite that, the staff went out of the way to make our experience intimate and personal. The rooms are immaculate though very old school charm. Food in the main restaurant was outstanding. There was nightly entertainment which was live and very well done. The nightly teatime and lake cruise was quiet and restful.

Coming with our elderly parents, the staff was attentive to their needs, especially in, helping them get to their seats and navigating the hotel. We also had our teenage kids with us, and they were very favorably impressed by the experience. Special mention kudos to Dinesh and Sunil for providing outstanding service, and being attentive to our needs.

A few highlights:
- Seabass at the pepper restaurant was excellent.
-Poori bhaji was outstanding
-Chapathi, kerala parotha, and naan were fresh and delicious
-Room amenities such as soap. lotions, etc were top end, from Forest Essentials, an outstanding brand and Ayurvedic store
-View from the terrace room on the lake is amazing. Worth the upgrade. (See pictures)

A few downlights:
-towels were a little bit used and old, though clean and plentiful
-minibar options were limited, especially tea/coffee service (Bru would be a nice addition)

Especially those with families, this would be a great option. The value was excellent as well. Roughly about $150-$175 per room per night, slightly higher for the terrace room. One of our family member gifted us Taj coupons which we could use for stay and food. We stayed here for 3 days and those 4 days were the highlight of our trip.
The rooms as you will expect were big and clean. The bathroom, as we requested had a bathtub. The staff was so nice. I had a ankle injury and was wearing ankle support, even the manager was kind to notice and offer help.
The offer a cruise in the backwaters every evening after snacks and evening dance show by the local artist.
The compound is beautiful, well maintained. We opted for a buffet which is Rs 1500 per person for lunch and dinner and I think Rs 750 for breakfast. The buffet had lot of vegetarian and non-vegetarian variety. They even have a separate Seafood Restaurant for seafood lovers.
The day we were coming they even kept a small gift (box of spices with a letter) in our room, which made us feel special.
