Coconut Lagoon - CGH Earth Resort

Superb location, good staff and food. Good in-house activities and options to travel around. Just note that you are ok with semi-open to sky bathroom. In activities, Birdwatching at the lake and canoe boat ride are recommended. Also kayaking if you are athletic. We stayed at the pool villa which had private pool and closed bathroom. Spacious rooms and lakeside balcony. Overall loved it.

The short stay at this resort surely won our hearts.

To begin with, 1. the scenic location of the property surrounded by the Vembanad lake which invokes serenity and tranquility in one’s mind, is majestic.

2. The landscape, the greenery, the layout, the presence of egrets in the lawns, the lady bringing tea in a boat, the water lilies and the open air bathroom concept was very impressive.
3. The smiling faces of the restaurant staff and the courtesy demonstrated by the restaurant and reception staff was very heartwarming.

In addition to all of the above, what was noticeably remarkable was the following of core traditional values along with an endeavour to reduce the Carbon footprint 👣 in unison with principles of sustainability.

Beautiful hotel on a island. rooms well appointed. excellent service. nice pool and very good in the restaurant. only issue is the gym could be improved.

CGH have some amazing resorts, but, this one is my favourite so far.

the staff are also the friendliest and happiest of all the places we stayed in India.

Road accessibility should be offered . Nature at its best! Excellent service, cordial staff, delicious meals!
However not too senior citizen friendly .
All in all a lovely serene place to unwind and relax! Highly recommended!

We had an awesome experience at this beautiful property. Boat ride to reach the property was a unique experience. The property is vast and had 360 degrees of greenery, butterflies, waterfront & birds. A peaceful and calm environment.
Service and food are top notch. The menu had limited choice but the food was delicious though. Both the restaurants had great ambience.
Very accommodating & supportive staff. The cottages were traditionally styled and were neat and cozy.

This property is so serene and beautiful- you hv to be there to believe it! Must visit if you are in Kerala for holidays. The resort has some wonderful activities charted out to ensure you thoroughly enjoy your stay but more importantly experience nature and understand it closer than you may have before! As many other reviews point out - their entire staff breathes a culture of serving you and treating you like a king or queen! I must credit the owners of CG Earth properties for instilling a culture which their people live so naturally n not the trained feeling of so many large hotels. Being at CGH is an experience you would not get world over n I hv travelled quite a bit around the world!

Everything was perfect...from the food to the service to the views. The property is picturesque, well maintained and there are lots of activities for the guests. The staff and the manager were courteous, warm and prompt.

One of the best resorts in kochi, though the last mile journey is by boat, but a new experience with yr luggage, well maintained with age old Kerala wood and crafts and antique jhoola makes a splash

A beautiful place. Unfortunately we only spent a few hours here and had to leave at 4.30 am to drive to Kulchi Airport. We would like to return for a couple of days.

One of most peaceful and serene properties you can find in Kerala. Add to that some outstanding local cuisine and top notch service and this place becomes a must visit for a short vacation.

4 star hotel with 5 star service. From the boat into the property you have a feel of intrigue and welcome as there's a drummer to welcome us. Best staff is the bar man Rohith. He works very hard in the pool bar and morning breakfast greeting guests with smiles. Definitely genuine and polite speaks pretty good English too. Thomas has excellent service too. They are probably trained by Shynima who has amazing command of English. Definitely would love to come back here to rest and do nothing. Meditation at night and yoga in the morning. Its a place to unwind and live with nature. Otters and other wildlife is around the lake too. Kyaking available but at a cost 1500 for 1hr. Stayed two nights a week is possible too

Coconut lagoon is beyond perfect, a piece of heaven where you are treated like royalty. One needs to truly experience this place. The location, rooms, architecture, landscaping, food and staff everything is amazing. So much in love with this place and the people who take care of it. Cannot wait to explore other CGH properties.

The Coconut Lagoon Team on location (Kumarakom) was found to be very welcoming, caring and helpful. The food was delicious and healthy. The location and the surroundings were full of nature, well maintained, safe and secure. We wish the Management & the Team on location the very best and to make a difference to those on holiday and continue to extend the best. May Almighty God bless you all 🙏

This is the second time I have stayed here in 8 years. I was not disappointed. It was how I remember the hotel. Excellent

Lovely place / Service oriented staff

Positives :
1. Well firstly location – we took the heritage mansion hence we were right next to the lake edge.
2. The size of the property is such – that you don’t run into too many people – you typically get to see all the guests during meals only – this is a good thing – cause you feel a bit scheduled.
3. Clean and well maintained
4. Decent number of onsite activities – which will keep you busy for 3 to 4 days.
5. Good location in case you want to have a leisure holiday (i.e do things at a different pace).
6. We had taken the Breakfast + Dinner package – buffet dinner was top notch
7. Onsite musician as well as cultural performances
8. Perfect for a 3 to 4 day holiday.

Flip Side :
1. The aryuvedic center / treatments were expensive
2. The onsite specialty restaurant – can be given a miss. The standard buffet is far better.

Coconut lagoon is one of the most hospitable properties I have been to and twice now. Very courteous staff and great facilities. Quiet and serene, if you are looking for a nice getaway from gadgets closer to nature this is it

We spent 2 nights at Coconut lagoon with splendid views of the Vembanad lake, aesthetic architecture focused on sustainability and brilliant hospitality. Very peaceful atmosphere and plenty of activities to enjoy. Food was great too. I would visit again.
