As an Alumni of The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and having further studied and worked as a full time Acadec in the US for 14 years and relocating back to my hometown of Chennai and teaching at this University where my Undergraduate studies in Dentistry began, I find great pleasure in conducting talks and presentations!

Green campus, a rarity in itself in the heart of Chennai. Refreshing to see highly proactive officials on campus. Very well maintained estate.

Quiet place to prepare nd study.
Its mostly used by Doctors nd the library is pretty good.

Excellent anyone, anytime can come and read during morning hours to evening . There are common chairs and desk to study which is a greatly needed for any student. Have SEPERATE canteen near by study area and library.

The High Level Committee consisting of Dr. A. Venugopal, Dr. M. Natarajan and Dr. S. Kameswaran proposed Medical University in Tamilnadu on 5 July 1983 to then Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran. The Tamil Nadu Medical University Act, 1987 received the assent of the President of India on 24 September 1987. This affiliating University started functioning from July 1988 and is governed by the said Act. By 1991, It was named after the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, late Dr. M.G. Ramachandran through Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai Act, 1987 by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi.
