Thiru Vi Ka Park

Thiru Vi Ka park is located in Shenoy Nagar. Actual Shenoy Nagar metro station entrance is inside the park only. Very huge park with a lot of features like, cricket pitch, volley ball court, and badminton court, the seating arrangement is good, has good maintained restroom. The kids play area is good with lot of play equipment. They are really maintaining good. The ambiance is superb when u visit the park during evening with the lighting arrangement it looks cool. The entrance arch is superbly designed. A must go place with family.

We were nearby for tea and decided to check out the park. It's an amazing park especially at night. It's very safe because there are several security guards patrolling the area and policemen outside the park also. The opening and closing hours mentioned on the board outside state that they are open everyday during;
5 AM to 9 AM
5 PM to 9 PM.

Pets are not allowed I guess as I did not see even one animal inside.

One of the best parks maintained by the govt. It was basically located just above Shenoy nagar metro railway station. The park was well maintained. light and music fountain shows in the evening. Kids love this place, adults too. Lots of practices will go on this park for kids and adults.

The park is well maintained and very clean. Newly renovated and opened.

If it's maintained well, then this will be a fav hangout spot for many ppl. You can see many families come here on weekends.

A lot of dedicated places around, starts from skating , badminton, reading place, meditation zone, kids play area, 8 way path for walkers.

Food is strictly not allowed inside the park. Many shops are around the park.

Two wheeler parking is easy, 4 wheelers can utilise the Shenoy nagar metro parking.

Though reduced to half its original size, the layout is well done, with walking tracks and activity areas well dispersed. Plants and trees make the park pleasant. A good number of security personnel have been posted to regulate visitors. The walkways and activity areas are swept and kept clean. One suggestion would be to keep stray canine out.

Easily one of the best parks in Chennai. Thiru Vi Ka park was a famous park even before metro train construction. Now after being renovated and completely revamped, the park looks contemporary and modern. The landscaping is beautifully done with different plant varieties complemented by brilliant lighting throughout the park. There are so many facilities inside like a meditation center, kids play area, beach volley ball area, drinking water vending machines, etc., You can access the park from two entrances, one from PH road via Shenoy Nagar, another from Anna Nagar. There is ample car parking space outside as well as inside the metro station. There is no entrance fee for the park, parking charges inside metro station is 30 rupees for 0-6 hours. There are no shops inside the park but outside near the anna nagar entrance, there are numerous shops starting from street vendors to some famous non veg restaurants all in a walkable distance. Park is neatly maintained with nothing much to complain. Definitely recommend visiting with your friends or family.

A friend had suggested thiru vi ka park for a stroll. A really good, well maintained park. The park has amenities like skating rink, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, meditation space, reading space, an open air theater etc. The park has been constructed upon really good planning, it is even connected to shenoy nagar metro. It is even accessible for the physically challenged. A lot of beautiful flora too.

Best park in the city clean and neatly maintained. more game courts are available and good to use for training and best place for kids to play

Beautifully created, modern and well maintained park with multi sport grounds, out door gym, walker/jogger tracks and children's play area.

Visited on weekend and after the renovation... Its very good, big park with all sport area inside.. badminton, skating, basketball, cricket yoga etc.. and designing of park is all good with lights..

Awesome park reopened now with international standards, challenge will be maintaining it like now. Well done Chennai Corporation. Citizens should enjoy the facilities and also help keeping it clean.

Good place to spend your evening times. One of the great initiatives by chennai metro. They Are maintaining it often and reatrooms are clean here. They have exercise equipments, walking paths and reading areas. Even though the ambience of the park is good, there is no entry fees. Anyone can come and visit this place.

Thiru Vi Ka Park, also known as Shenoy Nagar Park, is an urban park at Chennai, India. The park is located in Shenoy Nagar.The circular Thiru Vi Ka Park right at the center of Shenoy Nagar, Chennai, is a major landmark of that area. After twelve years, it seems this park has finally been reopened for the public in a grand style. So we went there recently to check it out. 😄💞

The park is awesome and equipped with modern amenities and well maintained don't take any food item. It's not allowed its not a picnic spot it's a park to refresh. Public. Should put efforts on keeping the park clean. By not stepping on the lawn. Or by not vandalizing the equipments in the park. The facility looks top notch and best time to visit would be night as the park is illuminated with colourfull lights. It's a treat to our eyes. We'll sanitized toilets, including a toilets for physically challenged. Kids friendly environment. I am not sure if pets are allowed to my knowledge I never seen one inside. To access the park you have to reach the shenoy nagar metro station.

A very well kept park. In early morning, it's much more quiet, it was crowded when I visited the park in evening. There is paths to walk or jog, there is open gym available, space to read and do yoga. There is a small park for kids.

Amazing Park transformation by Chennai Corporation. Very near to Shenoy Nagar Metro station.. Good rest rooms, kids play area, handicap friendly, near metro, Yoga area, basket ball area, skating area.. List goes on... 5 Star quality park

Early it was a big park with dense trees and shurbs. Now the ambience has changed a lot. Its state of art design enables the people to use it for their fitness, workouts and sports needs. Maintained by the CMRL, makes it more tidy and neat.

Excellent Park built by the Government, even some paid park doesn't have the facilities that this park have. Excellent work by the Tamil Nadu Government. Never seen a park like this.
