Under rated place within Chennai urban area .The green lush and lake gives an appearance as if you're in a hill station.
Perfect place for walking on the suitably paved walkers tiles. Fishing rod , bait available to enjoy fishing . Inland waters fishes are grown in the lake . Aquatic birds , Duck pedals the calm lake waters giving an serene atmosphere. Cool drinks , tetra pack juices, Water bottles , bread Omelette, crisps , fruit cakes sold at the canteen .
Kids play area with slides , swings suitable for under 10 children . Lot of sitting area around the lakes ready to go spot for chit chats. Tree shades nice to have a study time. Grass lawn are properly mowed thanks to maintenance incharges.

It is a wonderful place to spend time with family. You can do pedal boating there. Aquarium, gaming zone, gym, are available. Aavin parlor, canteen, children park, washrooms are also there. It's cool to go in the evening times. Kids will enjoy a lot there. A huge walk area is there around the lake. Entry fee is Rs. 25 per person.

I visited Eco Park near the Egmore and was impressed by its diverse offerings. From boating and gaming to a well-equipped kids' play area, the park caters to various interests. The walking track provided a serene atmosphere, and the highlight was the enjoyable fishing experience. A perfect blend of recreational activities in the heart of the city.

Amazing eco park with a lake, walking path, boating facility, angling/fishing area, eateries in the heart of Chennai. Plenty of parking space and located right next to Chetpet railway station.
Missed visiting this place for 8 years, as this seems to have been inaugurated in 2016.
Will visit regularly from now on.
Ideal to spend time in the evenings and early mornings.
I'm my opinion, all the actual water bodies of Chennai villages from 50 - 60 years ago should have been retained and developed like this eco park, we can only sigh...

This place is such a underrated place in all of Chennai. Love the whole vibe of this place. This is mostly enjoying by people coming for their morning and evening walks they even have a monthly subscription pass for walking. The park has a huge lake with boating and fishing activities. There is a resort,a cafe and even a playground all in one location. The weather now is just perfect to visit this gem 💎.

Neatly maintained park for family with kids play area and boating. Entry to park needs 25 rupees ticket for adults and 10 rupees for kids. And there’s a monthly pass for joggers and walkers.
They provide boating and fishing after paying extra.

Great place to spend time with nature while in the middle of the city. Walking around the lake in the walkers path in the evening is a great break from the screen time. It's busy with many walkers who have formed a community amongst themselves. Fishing is another activity that's well organised here. Children have ample play area. The snack bar there can quench your thirst or provide you quick bites while chit chatting with your friends.

Fantastic infrastructure for walkers. Peddle boats available for visitors. Gym is very well planned and trainers are complete professionals. Parking and Entry tickets are bit expensive but it's worth it. Small eat out is good for some munching. Very scenic and lessly polluted. Few ducks are a good attraction in that waterbody / pond.

This is a small park with a beautiful lake. The park is well maintained. It has a good parking space and washroom are neat & clean. You can enjoy the boat riding and have some snacks from the park shop as well.

Paradise for a nature lover, especially if you're a cat person. When you want to connect with nature and simply don't have the time, this is your goto spot.

Wonderful spot get chill with your loved ones best time spend here is 5 to 7 pm. Prefer to go in saturday to enjoy the live concert of pakoda band

Chetpet eco park is an absolutely lovely place to go for walks or runs. It is a well maintained park-walkway with a huge water catchment in between.

There is an outdoor gym, a canteen, a play area for kids, an aquarium, a cafe, a rock climbing arena and boating within the park.

There is plenty of parking for cars and bike, costing around 12rs/hr for bikes and 24rs/hr for car parking. The entry fee for the park is 25rs and 50rs for the aquarium.

There are also ducks and other birds that relish the pond and the park.

Must visit!!

Eco park is a great green scenery in and around the city, refreshing for the eyes and you can even avail boating and enjoy snacks in the cafeteria

Serene place to do morning walks, meditation , etc. Can send quality time here in the morning by walking around the lake which gives you good vibes and positivity. The entry fee for one time is 20 rs for adults when I visited last year in 2022. It's worth the money ., It has children park, aquarium, etc. We can go boating and in the evenings it is visited by even more people who spend time with their friends and family . It has all facilities inside from restrooms and even stay is available i guess.

Great walking space. 5 min of boating but still within the city limits. They have fit rock arena which is a cross fit training gym which has rock climbing experience. A nice place to spend an evening with loved ones.

Me and my friends visited this Eco park last week in the evening. Pleasant environment and clean atmosphere.
The parking charges are acceptable and there's a covered parking.
The view of the lake was mesmerizing. As we walked down the path, there were cats roaming and birds chirping. The park is well maintained and family friendly.
There is also a separate area for people who would like walking for fitness.
The shop inside is a bit pricey though.
