Nouka Restaurant

The interior set up is really amazing. The concept of building a boat inside the restaurant and sitting on top of it to have food, makes you feel like you are on an actual voyage. The food is also really, good quality and well cooked. The order didn't take long to come. It is a good place to hangout with your friends and family.

Very good food. Good service except some staff. The food was very tasty. There are many kind of sea food dishes. Fresh fish are kept and can be selected by the customer. Very polite and good service by the guy who supplied food (Hashim).

Overall the cost of the food is higher but more tastier so can be affordable at that price.

The interior of the restaurant is calm. There is a structure of boat and seats are provided inside and outside the ship. Nice experience.

A really good place to eat fresh fish. You can either choose from a selection of caught fishes or you can catch your own fish from the tank. The taste is really good.Prices also reasonable.Very friendly staff too. If you are a sea food lover you can add it in the list of places to visit.

We were pretty apprehensive after seeing some of the earlier reviews but still wanted to give it a try so we booked the top deck for a get together and went. And without doubt, we would definitely recommend this place again.

Unlike some reviews we read, we (a group of 9 in a relatively busy dinner service period) recieved our food surprisingly quick. Most of the dishes were flavourful and loved by all at the table.
The head waiter was knowledgeable and informed us in advance of the dishes that weren't there (the same cannot be said of the servers though but that is a minor grouse)

The ambience is lovely with a nice pirate ship theme and good lighting on top. As for the dishes, the ones we tried and loved are:

Starters: Kadipatta murg (really tasty) , persian kabab, schezwan prawns (good size and flavour)

Soup: chicken kali mirch (everyone loved this)

Main course: kuttanadan fish curry, chooza makhani (chicken curry), mutton lal maas (tender, spicy)

Mint limes to end it all which are served in those fancy jars and again tasted wonderful.

Issues:
Parking can be an issue on a busy night.

Here's hoping they maintain a good standard consistently. Kannur could definitely a good fancy restaurant like this.

Good food, great ambiance, nice location with ample parking. Porotta was crispy and fluffy like it shud be, butter chicken was good too. Wait times may be a long owing to the rush during peak hours.

The ambiance inside is awesome and provides tasty food. The service is also good. The ship theme is superb and we could feel like eating inside a ship.

A hotel with a differance. The food was good. The services was up to mark. Spacious seating arrangement for about 50-60 people. The music was a bit louder. Parking space for about 8-10 cars.

It's a nice restaurant, quality food on fair rate and good service,
And inside it's look like a nouka (small ship) looking super and a calm place
Family and couples can enjoy hear
And it would be a good experience.

Excellent food..caters to everybody's taste buds...traditiinal kerala food in leaf excellent biriyani and desert...value for money. Would definetly visit again😍

We Had gud experience here ...the food and interior designing also good....but its tooo hot inside the restaurant......overall good...rate little experience but gud service

It's a different feel. Its look is entirely different from other hotels. I love the arrangements and all those things. Only issue is ac won't work properly...

Probably one of the most decent restaurant in town. The interior is impressive and staffs are welcoming too. Food was up to expectation, mostly Indian and Arabic food. I had a nice lunch here. Don't come for lunch earlier than 12:30pm. They welcome you in before time but the kitchen is not ready for 100% of menu before that time. (Not sure about the time frame in the evening)

celebrated new year at their place amazing way to treat their customers. staff will be very nice to you. Interiors is amazing . person who is owner of this place is marine engineer and created interior by himself this is worth visiting place

Went to Nouka for the first time yesterday Dec 28, 2018 after reading all the bad reviews on this page with my dad , mom and wife as we had tried almost all major restaurants in the city. Thought even though food is bad we will have a good ambience for their wedding anniversary. And we ordered Your choice meals, Fried rice, Jeera rice, Ghee rice , pepper chicken masala and dragon chicken and fish fries... And to be 100% honest all the dishes were awesome and we all were thinking why this restaurant is getting bad reviews. Think it's negative feedback given by competitors.. Price is very reasonable and we are so happy that we visited an awesome place with tasty food. Service was great by the order taking person and person who attended us.. Also other tables were almost filled. Please do visit the place and njoyy the taste.
We will go there again and request all to give sincere comments over here so that people like us will not hesitate to go there.

We tried the chatti chor for the first time and the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. Imagine for rs50 u get enough rice n variety of veggies n a fish fry too.....and d seafood thaali ..everyone shud try it.........The waiters were attentive and service overall was good. The restaurant interior is well designed. And I tried crab lollipop woh dat was again great..... I didn't get dis dish from any other place. Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be going back.

On a trip to kannur, Explored this wonderful restaurant Nouka. Great food, perfect ambience, awesome service is a plus. Staffs are too friendly and supportive, they also captured a few pictures of us. Price is very reasonable compared with the quantity of the food. The architecture of the restaurant is an apple of the eye where you feel like a pirate on the ship. 5 stars to the Nouka Restaurant a must visit restaurant in Kannur.
