One of the finest temples in Mumbai visited by all sections of Hindus. The temple was established in 1968 by the late 44th Sri Azhagiasingar. The main deities are Sri Lakshmi Narasimhan, Sri Lakshmi Narayanan and Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevan. The Utsavar is Sri Pahladvaradhan who is carried in a procession on festival days.Idols of Sreedevi, Bhoodevi and Andal share the peetam with Utsavamurti. The idols of 4 Alwars find a place in the sanctum sanctorum. There are 2 mini temples, one dedicated to Sri Dhanvantri Swami and the other to Sree Mahalakshmi and Sree Chenchulakshmi. The Idols dazzle of Gold and Diamond, lending an aura that is indescribably beautiful, In the passage outside the sanctum are idols of Sri Ganapathy ( Thumbikayi Alwar in Vaishnava sampradhayam) ,Sri Venkateshwara Swami, Sri Narashimhar (Ugramurti),Sri Guruvayoorappan and Sri Suryanarayan. Outside the temple entrance are mini temples of Sri Garuda Alwar and Sri Anjaneya Swami. The temple is usually open between 6-11 am and 5-9 pm. All major Hindu festivals are celebrated in a grand manner. There is an in-house team of Nadaswaram and Tavil players that play for a few hours every morning and evening adding a touch of South India to the overall ambience. The heady aroma of camphor and myrrh, fragrant tulsi and flowers of every hue, joss sticks and the smell of ghee and oil make a visit to the temple truly sublime. Priests and Devotees chant shlokas in chaste Tamil originally rendered by Sri Ramanuja Acharya, Sri Vedanta Desikan and other Alwars.Vishnu Sahastranamam is chanted every evening between 8.30-9.00. Invariably Prasadam is distributed , morning and evening, after the bell-ringing and aarathi.
Adjoining the temple is an air-conditioned hall (1st floor) and a non airconditioned dining hall on the ground floor. The Halls are leased for weddings, upanayanams, traditional birthday celebrations of elders and for cultural programmes with a classical/ spiritual touch. There are a couple of rooms attached to the halls for temporary rest /storage of personal belongings of the bride/groom's parties. Lift facility is available for Super senior citizens to reach the first floor. There are open spaces on either side of the hall which are used for exhibitions.Only Vegetarian food is permitted to be cooked /served. Every Amavasya Smartha and Vaishnava priests conduct mass tarparnam between 7-8.30 am. At least a hundred brahmins participate regularly.
Important celebration days are Sri Rama Navami, Sri Nrsimha Jayanthi, Vaikunt Ekadashi, Gokul Ashtami and the birthdays of the Pontiffs.

Love visiting Ahobila Mutt as often as I can to listen to the divine Vedic chants and for blissful darshan of the Deities

An ISO certified temple is maintained so well, neat and clean

Right now Shree Laxmi Narasimhar Jayanti is being celebrated in the most traditional way, one must visit in this period to get the blessings 🙌 🙏 of Shree Laxmi Narasimhar

Excellent staff and service and highly respectful priests, who show empathy and care to all devoties

No dramas and restrictions to take photographs and videos inside the temple, after all, who can capture the divine power in a cell phone...

A very good destination for the religiously inclined vaishnavaites.

The temple houses Lakshmi Narasimhan, Hayagriva, and Lakshmi Narayana.
There is a dedicated sanctum sanctorum for Dhanvantri and Mahalakshmi.

Various festivals are conducted in the adjoining hall. Importantly homams are conducted every Narasimha Jayanti.on a grand scale. Expect a crowd on these days.

There is a wedding hall on the first floor.
It is easy to reach this temple from the Chembur station.
The landmark is Diamond Garden.

The Beautiful ,well maintained Temple has three Beautiful, mesmerizing Stone idols of Lord Sri Laxmi Narsimha, the presiding deity of the Mutt, in the centre, with Lord Sri Laxmi Narayan on His left and Lord Sri Laxmi Hayagriha the Lord of Wisdom, on His right. This is one of the few Temples in India to have three Moola Murthies ( Idols ) in one Sanctum.... Feelings blessed

Very nice temple. One can feel the vibes seeing Lord Lakshmi Narshimha deities
But temple staff are very rude with un welcoming behavior. Espicially The office staff are very arrogant. They are not ready to explain puja or Sevas available unless we talk in Tamil. Not everyone who vist temple are supposed to know the language are Request temple authorites to look in to this.
