It was an incredible trip for my friend Doreen and I - Phunchok had organized it perfectly. What was most special about working with Phunchok is the personal care he gives his travelers - staying in his own house outside of Leh, meeting his family, (we even visited his mother in his home-village). Phunchok organized for us to stay in homestays - so that we were learning about Ladakhi way of life by becoming a part of it. HIs staff was carefully chosen, Ladakhis whom he has worked with over the years - experienced, knowledgeable, and wonderful to get along with. In addition, Phunchok guided us himself to several monasteries in the Leh region.

Our trip consisted of two parts - the first, with an excellent and knowledgeable driver who took us on a road trip of several days, first to the beautiful Nubra valley and then to the Tzo Moriri lake, where we attended an amazing festival in the distant monastery of Korzok.

The second part of our trip was an easy trek, for which we got a wonderful guide - with a driver taking our larger bags to the next villages homestay - and often we would spend an extra day in the village, to participate in monastary prayers or in a local festival we happened to come across.

We are seriously contemplating returning for a trip with Phunchok to Zanskar!

Phunchok (PT) has arranged many tours for me and my friends over the years in Ladakh. His knowledge of the Ladakhi wildlife, culture, festivals and weather & road conditions make him an expert on the region.
PT has a keen interested in wildlife and Ladakhi culture, and is a photographer himself. I have done multiple fully outfitted treks and tours with his company and have never been disappointed. Over time, he has become a friend, and I reach out to him every time I want to plan a trip to Ladakh.

Phunchok(PT) had organised a snow leopard trip in the hemis biosphere for me and my friends in February 2018. What made the experience exceptional and memorable apart from the meticulous planning, professionalism and high standards of quality across every single aspect of the trip was the genuine warmth and personal touch. Overall I would certainly go back to Ladakh with PT and his team. Yes we did see cats across three days before I forget thanks to the brilliant trackers.
I did enjoy the insight into Tibetan Buddhism which PT most kindly shared with the Mon he took me around. The Cham dance for the winter festival was a divine bonus.

Incredible journey with Exotic Travel ! We saw 10 leopards, 6 lynx, 5 Tibetan wolves, 1 red fox, many blue sheeps, urials, ibex and woolly hares. Lots of birds as well ! Food and accommodation was perfect. Phunchok Tsering, the owner is such a professional ! I recomand this company to everyone.

We rented scooty with Chimba. His scooty was in mint new condition and he was very polite and nice. Highly recommended. 👍

Avec mon ami Luc, je viens de réaliser un magnifique voyage de 3 semaines au Ladakh Zanskar organisé par Puntchok. Ce voyage a été une réussite grâce à lui. Il a su nous conseiller, nous choisir le meilleur itinéraire, et nous trouver un chauffeur,Takpa, formidable, toujours disponible ,capable de trouver les clés des monastères même quand ils étaient fermés ! Nous avons visité Leh et la vallée de l'Indus, Lac Tso Moriri, Lac Pangong, la vallée de la Nubra, la vallée de la Shyok, le Zanskar avec Padum/Karsha et la visite du monastère de Pukthal) .
L’objectif principal était la visite des monastères.Nous avons été comblés !
A Leh, Puntchok a eu la gentillesse de nous accueillir avec sa charmante femme Tenzing et de nous héberger chez lui quelques nuits. Tensing nous a concocté des petits déjeuners et diners délicieux, et l’accueil était vraiment chaleureux. La chambre avait tout le confort que l’on puisse rêver !
Je conseille vivement à qui désire visiter le Ladakh et le Zanskar, de faire appel à l’agence Exotic Travel, c’est-à-dire Puntchok, qui a de très bonnes connaissances sur son pays, un vrai professionnel qui connait bien son métier, toujours de très bon conseil, et en plus, il parle parfaitement français !

Nous avons voyagé grâce à cette agence au Ladakh pendant 1 semaine avec mes 2 enfants de 11 et 13 ans. Voyage touristique essentiellement, monastères autour de Leh, 1 nuit à Lamayuru et 1 nuit dans la vallée de la Nubra. Tout était parfaitement organisé. Phunchok Tsering et sa femme nous ont accueilli dans leur hôtel maison guesthouse de manière très humaine et bienveillante. Ils ont pris soin de nous à l'arrivée en contrôlant notre taux d'oxygène, nous ont donné des conseils concernant le mal d'altitude. Les chambres sont spacieuses, toutes équipées d'une belle salle de bain, eau bien chaude, les repas à la guesthouse sont maisons et faits avec les produits du jardin. Un vrai bonheur d'avoir fait leur connaissance et si je retourne au Ladakh c'est chez eux avec exotic travel que je voyagerai!!

Nous sommes partis 1 mois au Ladakh durant l'été 2016. Nous avons confié l’organisation de notre séjour à l’agence Exotic Travel : visites de monastères, trek de 12 jours de Likir à Wanla, excursion à Tsomoriri et Tsokar… Un grand merci particulier à Phunchok et Tharpa !
De notre arrivée à l’aéroport jusqu’à notre départ, l’organisation a été parfaite. Leur présence, disponibilité et flexibilité ont été remarquables et fortement appréciées de tous (nous étions un groupe de 8). Phunchok et Tharpa parlent très bien français, ce qui a facilité nos échanges.
Durant les 3 premiers jours d’acclimatation à Leh, ils nous ont guidés dans les différents monastères les plus proches de la région.
Nous sommes ensuite partis pour un trek de 12 jours, entourés d’une équipe formidable aux petits soins pour nous tous. Une cuisine abondante et succulente, un guide expérimenté et des « helpers » toujours souriants et sympathiques.
Nous avons toujours eu un minibus confortable et un chauffeur à notre disposition quand nous en avions besoin, notamment pour notre virée vers les lacs.
Bref, nous ne pouvons que recommander et louer les services de Phunchok et son équipe.

Nous voulions nous adresser à une agence 100 % locale et ladakhi et ne l'avons pas regretté. Nous remercions encore Phunchok pour le très beau voyage que nous avons effectué au Ladakh grâce à lui et son équipe. Pour un prix très compétitif, nous avons passé trois superbes semaines dans ce "Petit Tibet" : visites des monastères, vallée de la Nubra, tour du lac Moriri et du Tso Kar, randonnée facile de 4 jours de Diskit à Lamayuru... Excellente organisation, excellent chauffeur et très bonne voiture, excellent cuisinier lors de notre trek et guide compétent. Phunchok est très à l'écoute des demandes de ses clients et donne aussi de très bons conseils lorsqu'il juge utile d'adapter le circuit. Il a pris la peine de contacter quotidiennement notre chauffeur pour vérifier si tout se passait bien. Nous l'avons aussi choisi pour sa réactivité et le fait qu'il parle parfaitement l'anglais mais qu'il peut aussi s'exprimer en français (ce qui est rare dans ce coin du monde). Nous avons voyagé beaucoup dans le sud-est asiatique, en Amérique du Sud, en Indonésie et au Japon mais ce voyage au Ladakh fera partie de nos plus beaux souvenirs. D'ailleurs, nous envisageons déjà d'y repartir et c'est sans hésiter que nous ferons à nouveau appel à Exotic Travel pour nous proposer un nouveau séjour prévoyant peut-être une arrivée par la route, au départ de Manali.
