২০১৭ সালে লাদাখে এই এক্সপেডিশনে ছিলাম।

আগের দিন আমরা বেজক্যাম্প থেকে কোনদিক থেকে উঠবো সেটা নিয়ে কথা বলতে থাকি। সন্ধ্যার আগ মুহূর্তে একটা সিদ্ধান্ত নেই যে কোনদিক থেকে উঠবো। এরপর সবাই তাঁবুতে ঢুকে পড়ি।

প্রতিদিনের মত চিনি ছাড়া কড়া করে চা খাচ্ছি সবাই আর কার্ড খেলছি। সাথে চলছে অনুপম এর গান। চা খাওয়া শেষে ভাইরা দয়া করে আমাকে ১ চামচ মধু খেতে দিতো

প্রায় অনেক রাত পর্যন্ত কার্ড খেলা চলতে থাকলো। সাথে রাতের রান্না ও চলতে থাকলো। রান্না শেষে খাওয়াদাওয়া করে বরফ গলা পানিতে সব ধুয়ে ঘুমিয়ে পড়লাম সবাই।

মাঝ রাতে চা বানিয়ে হালকা খেয়ে বাকিটা সাথে নিয়ে সামিটের জন্য রওনা করলাম সবাই। রাতের অন্ধকারে কয়েকদফা বরফ গলা খাল পার হলাম। এরপর উপরে উঠা শুরু করলাম। কয়েকটা বরফ গলা লেক পার হয়ে একটা জায়গায় পৌছালাম। তখন ভোরের আলো ফুটে গিয়েছে। চা ,খুরমা আর কিছু চকলেট খেয়ে রওনা করলাম আবার। ক্রাম্পন পয়েন্টে গিয়ে সবাই ক্রাম্পন পড়লাম একজন বাদে। ক্রাম্পন পয়েন্ট থেকে একটু সামনে আগানোর পর এই স্লোপটা সামনে পরে। স্লোপটা দেখে সবাই তাজ্জব হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম। একেকজন একেকজনের দিকে দেখে উঠা শুরু করে দিয়েছিলাম। যেটা গতকাল আমরা বেজক্যাম্প থেকে দেখতে পারি নি।

আমরা সর্বমোট এইভাবে ৩ টি স্লোপ পার হয়ে মেইন রিজে পৌঁছেছিলাম। একটা পার হয়ে দেখি সামনে আরেকটা হাজির যেগুলো আগে দেখা যাচ্ছিলো না।স্লোপগুলো কতটা ভয়ঙ্কর ছিল লিখে আসলে বুঝানো সম্ভব না। একদিকে খাড়া তার মধ্যে আগের কয়েকরাত অনেক স্নোফল হবার জন্য সফ্ট স্নো জমা হয়ে আরো ভয়ঙ্কর করে দিয়েছে ব্যাপারটা।
