Delicious food with reasonable price. Service was great. Nice and friendly staff. Strongly recommend if you are visiting Budapest and looking for a tasty Italian restaurant.

Riso provided an excellent dining experience for us. I can highly recommend the Chili-ginger prawn risotto - which had a nice balance of flavours and was beautifully presented. An overall 5 star experience!

Amazing food, incredible service and servers are very helpful and have a nice smile while serving or explaining. Food is sublime. And the atmosphere is very nice, friendly, and fancy. 10/10

Environment:
We ate outside in the evening, very green environment. Plenty of space for our daughter to walk around a bit while waiting for the food.

Staff:
Simply amazing. Our waiter was very attentive, kind, and helpful. When he noticed that our daughter is a bit bored, he provided colourful pencils, so she could draw.

Food:
My wife had a steak dish, a pasta dish, and I had a schnitzel. Our little one had jasmine rice. Good quality, especially the schnitzel.
Received a generous pour of the Maker's Mark bourbon👍🏻

I'd made a reservation in advance and we were seated immediately. This place is a 5 minute walk uphill from where we're staying and I'd read so many wonderful reviews that we had to try it as our 2 previous experiences with Italian in Budapest weren't good. We decided to sit in the outdoor space as it was a warm October day and the inside space was too warm(for us) due to heating.

We ordered a classic and a mango lemonade and upon request they gave us sugar syrup on the side of the classic lemonade. The mango one was delicious and the other was refreshing.

We ordered a Spinaci pizza(vegetarian) and a Branzino with Risotto with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. They were both delicious. The risotto wasn't cheesy and the pizza wasn't dry. We had a fantastic meal, a huge thanks to the chef and the friendly & helpful staff.

I'm sure we'll go back for another meal before we leave.

Update: We went a second time, for lunch and the experience was almost the same. The food was really good. We didn't like the dessert as much, but it wasn't bad. We ordered the Home-made rice ice cream with raspberry sauce and almond biscuits. The Biscotti and the ice cream were nice, but the raspberry sauce wasn't as good.

You have to go there and experience the amazing food. We ordered 5 formaggi pizza and pork tenderloin. Loved both but esp the pork plate!

I came here two nights in a row when visiting Budapest because the food is amazing, service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Hard to match the prices and food quality anywhere else in Budapest! This place has made my trip one to remember.

Went to Riso using a last minute reservation by call. Reservation made was super simple, despite my unusual number of 8 they managed to find me spot.

The distance from station is also not too bad, as i walked with our colleagues 15-20 minutes. A lot of people said that the view was great, but since we arrived hungry, we didnt manage to see much.

The atmosphere was great, located near castle. Then we ate in a semi outdoor setting. Perfect place to dine in a early fall setting.

Service was great, as it was pretty quick with food. They spoke good english and payment can be done via cash and card.

Lastly, the food. We got 3 starters: gambas gili gili, bruschetta, and tuna spread. I would say all three was amazing. Bruschetta was great, it was not over the top but worth the price. I definitely love the gambas gili gili!

Main course we got pizzas, risotto with cod, and my self got pork knuckle stew with ewe cheese potato dumpling. Was amazing nonetheless! They serve Italian foods as their signature, my colleagues said it was good.

Both food and drink were absolutely exceptional. We got many different main courses all of which were delicious. The staff were all extremely helpful and courteous throughout. Service was very good and efficient also.Cocktails were to a very high standard and cannot be faulted! Overall I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We will definitely be returning!

Hard to go wrong… it looks like an oasis in the city. There is also a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. (Free during weekends)

The dishes were super tasty and the quality of the food was excellent!!!
We only took lemonades and one glass of Prosecco for drinks, so I cannot say anything about the vines, but there was a really good choice!

Prices around 25€/person. I think everything was well priced. If you want quality, you have to pay!!

Great restaurant! Breakfast is very nice but the coffee was somewhat not good. The lunch was phenomenal! We had a pepper meat spinach pasta and some liver and both were excellent! Also a Gulasch soup that was fantastic! I would go there even if I was not a hotel resident, which I was. Overall recommended!

What stood out even more was their willingness to customize dishes; they omitted mushrooms from one of our orders, a small touch that made a big difference.

Now, let’s talk about the food – it was outstanding! The portions were generous, and each dish was a burst of flavors. The homemade squash was a particular highlight, showcasing the care and quality put into their menu.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its warm atmosphere, excellent service, and, most importantly, delicious food.

Came here because they were open the day after Christmas and I’m glad I did. The goulash soup had a amazing flavor and my main dish and desert was great as well. Service was friendly and attentive

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. The pizzas are out of the world, make sure to try the garlic infused olive oil. I would literally travel to Budapest for this restaurant.

Great food, excellent service and a great vibe. The food was really tasty and the staff added a sparkler for our groom to be, as well as wishing him a happy marriage.

The food is top quality and the prices are very reasonable, but the service is quite slow. I would still go back and recommend this place as I really liked the carrot cake and risotto which I have shared pictures. Next time you are at Buda castle and want to get away from the tourist places walk over here
