What a fantastic little find! This is a lovely restaurant that serves a good variety of dishes, including traditional Hungarian foods done to a high quality standard. The staff are very proficient and friendly, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their visit - from solo diners to families with young children.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby and looking to eat!

This place is wonderful! The menu is offered in many languages including English. The items are uniquely Hungarian! The staff was so friendly and recommended many of the dishes we ate. Being a bit adventurous is a good mindset to have when visiting as all the dishes my family and I had where not conventional American fare but insanely tasty nonetheless. Try the goose liver!

Our favourite restaurant during the stay in Budapest. The portions are huge at a decent price (and you can always ask for a smaller portion for 70% of the price!). The lovely home-made lemonade is a mix of lemon, orange and basil which is super refreshing and you can order a half a liter of it. The service was really nice too, answering all the questions we had about the dishes.

Really enjoyed the food and not sure why it’s got bad reviews last few weeks. I had the goats cheese starter which was superb and the beef steak was perfectly cooked. The staff was really friendly too. Price was reasonably top end, but good matched the price in my honest opinion

Delicious hearty food, perfect for winter and excellent service - our waitress was friendly and recommended the duck confit. We also ordered the goulash soup as an entree and the stuffed cabbage. Relaxed and laid back environment, well lit, perfect for small to large groups or date night. They have a paprika sauce which is so good, a real kick. We also tried the lemonade which was refreshing. Great first meal in Budapest :)

Outstanding traditional Hungarian food! Everything was delicious, the food, drinks and the service. Our waitress Melania was really helpful and was there for all our queries. Couldn’t recommend it any more. Good prices and lots of traditional Hungarian food. We initially were going to the restaurant next door but changed our mind after reviewing menu.

Found this place close to airbnb I was staying at when searching for authentic Hungarian food. This restaurant offers traditional Hungarian dishes, exactly what I was looking for! Goulash was outstanding and very satisfying, so was the steak. Portions were enough to share for two. Prices are reasonable, and staff was very helpful, offered menus in various languages.

Excellent local restaurant during our visit to Budapest. Filled mainly with locals for a lunch hotspot. Excellent prepared dishes paired with incredible Hungarian wines. Fair pricing, friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommend a stop!

Great food, large portion sizes, and quick and helpful service. We asked the waitress about recommendations and she was very patient explaining traditional Hungarian dishes. It was our best meal this trip!

Wonderful place! We always go there for our trip in Budapest. Recently they changed their menu but still very good one. We miss mushroom soup and chicken dish :( please put it back. Definitely very good place for Hungarian cuisine.

Very delicious food! Was a little bit of a walk away from the touristy places but well worth it. The place gets busy quick so a reservation may be a good idea! Highly recommended.

On the recommendation of local friend we went to this restaurant. Food is delicious and portions are really big. We both had goulash soup which would have been enough and then we had main course each. I could barely finish it. We didn't book but just walk in however it got very busy at some point around 1pm and I could see people were being turned away.
Service was friendly and when asked to explain dishes they were helpful. Menu is in many languages and in the entry to the restaurant we were asked what language we would like read it in.

Went twice for dinner and was very satisfied by food, wine and service. Took different types of goose liver and was very good. Guys are very friendly and fast. Good ratio price quality.

This food is absolutely amazing - if you're in Hungary, I highly recommend that you eat here if you are looking to dine on Hungarian food. Get the goulash as a starter and whatever the waitress recommends as a main!! You won't regret it!

The place to eat Hungarian in Budapest. Very customer centric and nice waiters, large and tasty meals for a great price. Been here more than 10 times and always a great experience!

Had their wrapped cabbage. The pork lard is good helps to balance out the sourness of the cabbage. I think it was good but eating the entire dish was quite hard since it was quite big portion and the cabbage was a little too sour more like sauerkraut. My wife ate grilled fish which was really good. I think it was salmon. Overall with the beer and good atmosphere, it was pleasant a dinner. Good place to try Hungarian food. Waiter was friendly.

This restaurant is not far from the Parliament building and surprisingly you can find here delicious meals for a very reasonable price. Traditional hungarian cuisine and pleasant service. Strongly recommended!

Wow - stumbled upon this by accident, wish I could give it 6 stars. Foot was incredible (had the goulash as a soup which could feed two) and the picked pork which was basically a huge slab of bacon with perfectly cooked potatoes.

The service was also great. Not overly attentive but constantly stopping by to check in, not just our individual waiter.

This place is a must.
