Portobello Coffee, Brunch & Wine

My friend and I wanted to find a coffee shop we hadn't been to before, preferably with a unique vibe in the alley where we could sit and chat comfortably. We were delighted to discover it. Besides coffee, they also offer wines and brunch. We will come back next time ;)

Small café with great coffee and tasty food. There aren’t many places to sit inside but it still has a cozy vibe and I didn’t need to wait long for a table. The staff was very friendly. Ordered an iced latte with oat milk and the grilled cheese sandwich - both were amazing! Would definitely recommend!

Very small cafe with limited seating. The seating is counter style and family style. The staff assisted us with finding somewhere to sit, so although it looked full, we were seated immediately. In the spring and summer they most likely have outdoor seating which will accommodate more people.

The coffee was excellent, I had a rare to find drip coffee. The only odd thing was I requested cream or milk for the coffee and they asked me to try it black first.

They were very accommodating with a request due to allergies. I had the hotcake with seasonal fruit. It was delicious as was the sourdough grilled cheese my friend had.

The wine selection is nice. They are mostly sold by the bottle for brunch, there was one option for by the glass. At dinner there may be more.

Magnificent brunch. Barn coffee. Great cafe. Lovely staff. No idea why it took me so long to finally sit down and enjoy this place. Very London coffee shop vibes. Very nice. Also, natural wines. Lots of them. Win.

On our stay in Budapest we went two times here and we’re always very pleased. Not only did we love the food, also the service was fantastic and nice.

Went there again after 5 years out of town, still amazing food, great wines and superb coffee, all while being reasonably priced.

Turkish eggs are just a dream, and the other dishes worth a try too when you can come back a few times. It really is nice.

Great wine selection, rare natural wines, very well chosen, and high quality! You can also just come here for the wine, although the food & coffee is also amazing.

The best coffee in Budapest, and the owners (Regina & Máté) are also very kind and take time to talk to their guests.
They use coffee beans from The Barn (Berlin) and their breakfast and cakes are also amazing and very creative in a good sense.
Definitely try the cappuccino with the lemon-thyme cake.

It was hard for me to find good coffee in Budapest. Here they have it! Great turkish eggs and grilled cheese. The bread was fantastic as well as the cakes.

My favourite place in Budapest. Loved the food (the taste and the choice alike), the professional service and cozy, modern atmosphere. Better to make a reservation.

Honestly I visited a place a lot of times. After a long time it's my favourite breakfast spot in Budapest.
Coffe top

Portobello is small coffee shop centrally located and with an incredible and delicious selection of homemade cakes and biscuits. The coffee itself is quite excellent, using The Barn as their primary roasters/coffee. They also serve small brunch plates as well. Keep in mind that, It's a small place so at times it is quite packed, but the ambiance is great.

I definitely recommend stopping by.

what an elegant cafe. the coffee is excellent! we tried the turkish eggs and tomato and egg sourdough toast, absolutely stunning flavors and the service was on point. highly highly recommend :)

Best brunch in Budapest. Tried several things here, all were amazing. My favorites are the egg dishes, they are just perfect. Every time I'm in town I come here and it never disappoints. I'd even say one of the best brunches internationally.
Definitely recommend to come when you're around, it's worth it.

Great place for brunch with a view and excellent coffee! Everything was fantastic, from the friendly staff to the top-notch service. Not to mention the absolutely delicious food. I'll definitely be coming back here again!

One of the cutest caffès we visited in Budapest, it’s a cozy and precisely designed space, the service was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the coffee was great and well prepared.

Although it is not that close to the city center but it is one the way to the Buda side and is definitely worth the visit while in the area.

Will visit again next time for sure 💯

The best breakfast during our stay in Budapest. Their sourdough has the perfect texture and the Turkish eggs were delightful. Coffee was really really good too!

Absolutely amazing food, pastries, cakes and coffee! My favorite meals in Budapest, combined with great service. Will hopefully have a chance to come back here.
