Mészár Steak Kitchen

I ate hear one night while on a business trip. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was exquisite, especially for the price. I had a Hungarian beef medallion dish for main course paired with a Hungarian red wine. For dessert, I had a cottage cheese dumpling with coconut ice cream with a ristretto. Everything exceeded expectations.

Was a last minute decision to go out after a tiring day and hardly regret.
From the warm welcome by the exceptional service people to the atmosphere and food, definitely a must to stop bye.
We had fillet and rib eye, both cooked to perfection and presentation was top notch; couldn’t fault anything.
The waitresses made the experience; both welcoming and friendly and always with a genuine smile on their face (not everywhere unfortunately is same) ..

Delicious, good quality food and a huge range on the menu. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor even better. Well worth a visit.

We went in for the Budapest Dining Restaurant week and loved the experience. Great menu options on all 3 courses but the highlights were the goats' cheese and beetroot salad with quinoa and the Argentinian Ribeye steak with the best sweet potato fries I've ever tasted.
Service was curt but professional.

Really pleased, good food,relaxed. Definitely would recommend, as for some reviews saying about the extra service charge its been standard in all the restaurants I've visited during my stay and it says about it on the menu.

The food is superb. If you want really good steaks in the city, this IS the place to go.

The place can be a little loud at times (music), which doesn't go well if you have a larger group and plan on having a quiet discussion over your food. It's not super distracting and the food more than makes up for it.

The place is not cheap, esp if you go there for steaks and let's be honest, why else would you go to a steak house. Starter, main course, dessert, a beer and a cocktail was little over 30000 Forints on average per person for us.

As the final restaurant of my trip, we dined at "Mészár Steak Kitchen," and I must say it was an incredible experience! The moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The menu offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail. From the main course to the dessert, every single bite was bursting with flavor and made from the freshest ingredients. The pork belly porchetta was indescribably good! The rib-eye steak was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. We had the cottage cheese dessert with coconut ice cream, and it was a perfect combination. Everything was simply perfect. The service was exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction, leaving me happily satisfied. I highly recommend "Mészár Steak Kitchen" to anyone seeking a culinary delight, and I am DEFINITELY coming back! 🤤♥

Fantastic service, fantastic food. We enjoyed what is probably one of the best steaks we've had in a long time.

So far the best steak restaurant I went to in Budapest. Excellent service, super tasty food and great selection of wines. We were also allowed in with our pet which is tumb up for us. If you wanna spen great evening and eat some delicious food you have to stop by. Will definitely come back on our next visit.

Good steak House!!! :D starters were amazing and the Marocan spycy meat steak absolutely delicious!!! Stuff was very friendly polite and professional,the place itself is very clean fancy/modern style. Quality of food definetly in line with prices :) for all the food plus lemonade drinks we spent 55.000Huf which is quite fair price. I suggest to check out this place because deserved it. The staff served us was superb! The food recommended to us are high quality. Price is reasonable. Decor is nice, venue and music are very nice and relaxing. It is one of the best dinning experience in Budapest. I will definitely come back!

Not easy to park near, have to got few circles before found a spot. The place is a Proper steakhouse, you can order from menu or the fridge! Never had any problem with the steaks here, sides are good so as the sauces. Good selection of wines. And if you got more room there are delicious deserts. The staff is very kind and knowledgable by the meat selection. Good for celebration, never had a Bad experience there!

Excellent services and delicious food! The staff is really polite and would assist with anything that is needed. The food its really tasty and of good quality! Frankly after 2 days in Budapest i couldn't taste anymore the touristi' goulash or langosi, so the restaurant came as a recommendation by the reception of our hotel and i am glad it did!

The first time we went to the restaurant there was a power outage. Unfortunately we weren't able to spend more time at the restaurant due to the fact that they couldn't cook the meal we wanted. At this time we were only able to order the starters, and what we tasted from the starters we decided to come back the next day.

The next day however we went back for the steak. This time the waiter was different from the day before, very outgoing. This waiter adviced the wine, the steak and guided us through the menu. The service was very nice and high quality, we were helped very well.

The quality of the Hungarian steak was excellent. The meat was chosen from the fridge with different kinds of Hungarian steak. We chose the Hungarian Ribeye, it is recommended to share this since the minimum order was 600 gr. This wasn't a problem for us since we were with two individuals.

The meat was in our case medium rare, a choice I would make anytime again. The meat was tender and of high quality, the wine pairing was excellent. Overall the experience and the side dishes were of excellent quality.

I would certainly recommend this restaurant. The prices are perhaps more than used to in other restaurants though the price/quality measures were good.

Super quality food in a nice walking area, recommend for meat lovers. The waitress was well trained, prepared and spoke good English. Nice interior and possible to sit on the terrace outside. Reasonably priced. Fully recommended.

We had a great experience at Meszar Steak Kitchen. The tartar starter is absolutely to die for. We went twice just to eat the tartar again. Friendly staff and very flavorful food.

Great food and very attentive staff. Only complaint is that they kept changing the volume of the music for whatever reason - sometimes a bit loud and sometimes it was perfect.

We went there with my family recently, for a get together and we had an amazing experience thanks to our amazing server Szilvi. The steaks were really nice, although a bit on the pricy side, but that is to be expected on this side of town. Definitely leave room for the incredible desserts!
One thing that I'd point out is the music. With such classy interior and dishes, I didn't expect a 10's pop hits playlist to be looping around every half an hour or so;)
