Bigfish Lánchíd Restaurant and Bar

I was worried this would be some generic Champagne & Caviar type establishment but was pleasantly surprised.

The Hungarian fish soup was spicy and flavourful, and had fish fillet and roe floating inside. The risotto was stuffed with saffron and the octopus leg was grilled to perfection. Everything not on the grill menu is very affordable.

Best service during the stay in Budapest. The food is excellent . Was one of the best meals i had in Budapest .

I had mussels with white wine, pasta with squid and truffle oil, and porto spritz. All of them were so good. The olive oil and bread are from the house, very much appreciated. I will absolutely visit it again to try more courses.

hey folks love this place this is our second time to big fish. We went to one that was over on the other side of Budapest. Both are phenomenal though both are very different. One is a little bit more rustic if you will the atmosphere has pipes in sort of a nautical theme and you get a chance to see your chef cook your food in front of you. Where is this one here is a little upper scale well a lot upper scale great music, great environment know you don’t get to see your food cooked by phenomenal to plus to mention really hard to find good fish, fresh fish in Budapest

A signeture resturant.. Ms. Christiana was so helpful to chose the food and drinks etc... It's a place you must to pass appreciate thier art work.

Outstanding lunch, have to come back for dinner! Food was really well done, presentation, portions and taste… ceviche, tuna w mint salad, Caesar with shrimp… all really well executed and so delicious. Valentine provided perfect service, there exactly when you need something, but not hovering around you interrupting flow of conversation (American restaurants need to learn this skill). Very much appreciated his guidance on a wonderful Hungarian Sauvignon Blanc that had wonderful depth and refreshing at the same time. Definitely on our list to return to.

It's an upscale restaurant in the heart of the city. The menu is somewhat limited but an open buffet style display is available to select your favorite seafood for the chef to prepare the meal for you.

There are two bigfish restaurant in Budapest. I tried both of them. I felt this bigfish has more fancy vibes with nice atmosphere. (Another one was also nice)

They have fresh oysters what is the one of my favorite. Besides, there are lot of selection for fresh see foods.

I always tried grilled lobsters, octopus and some salad.
Highly recommend to visit if you like see foods :)

Excellent food, service, and ambience! Their salmon tartar, trio burger, and mango cheesecake are something to really look out for!! The rosemary mocktail and oysters are also really worth a try. The food is slightly on the expensive side, but the quality of the place is also really good! Loved the experience and would really recommend everyone to try the place!

Best food experience for us in Budapest. We had the seafood tower, and it was both beautiful and it tasted fantastic. Its a bargain, as it cost half of what it does in Denmark were we live. And staff was very friendly.

We had a wonderful lunch with our friends: exquisite food, excellent service. Our waiter today was Anna and she did a great job.

Decided to eat there just because we liked the look of the place and we were extremely lucky. Great place, amazing food, excellent service. We ate grilled shrimps and truffle casareze, both very good. Also very interesting cheesecake with mango. Overall highly recommended.

Bigfish offers the freshest seafood and shellfish selections in Budapest. The founders have fantastic taste and standards for selecting quality fish products. I couldn't include my oyster selection because we finished with it before I even thought of taking a picture. Most products are only available on the grill (not charcoal but teppanyaki). Some of those fishes could taste better steamed or meunière. Extensive use of olive oil feels a bit unusual. It could be on the side in a bottle with some balsamic vinegar instead of soaking the plates. However, the overall experience was good. I first visited the Bigfish at Andrassy, then the one near the river. If you would like to have seafood in Budapest, Bigfish is the number one go.

This very high level cooking. The seafood is fresh and on point - a great break from goulash and schnitzels. We loved it - the service was highly professional and on point. A great night.

The best, most beautiful evening in this place. The staff are awesome, especially Sándor and Martin who looked after us beautifully. A chilled and happy experience. Xxx

My favorite place to eat seafood!!! Fresh! Delicious! Top friendly staff! A little expensive, but it worth it!
