Very easy 5 stars to give (and I don't give them easily).
Amazing food, everything that I tried was absolutely delicious, And the goulash was the best one that I've ever had.
I liked the atmosphere, the place looks very traditional, highly recommended.

We came during lunch time for the three course lunch menu and it was delish. For 3,000 Ft it was pretty great value for traditional Hungarian dishes. Each course has options to choose from and are served once you have finished the previous course. The service was great even though it was very busy when we visited. Delicious !!
I went there for lunch to try their lunch menu and wasn't disappointed ! For 3000ft you have a 3 course meal (2500ft for the 2 course meal) with a great choice of speciality.
I took the goulash soup , the pancake with meat and the chestnuts dessert.
Everything was delicious and the portions were good.
The dessert wasn't to my liking but it was so beautiful and tasty.
If I ever come back to Hungary I would definitely try to come back !

We had an awesome, comfortable and nice dinner. Although we came relatively late, the great waiters welcomed us and served us super tasting food. Great goulash you will find, also only with beef available. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is laid back, decor and spot is very Hungary authentic. Thank you.

We had lunch for 2 and everything was tasty and delicious. The waiter was very patient and friendly explaining the different dishes and answers to our questions. The food came on time, and was yummy! We didn’t had reservation and still was able to find a table for us. Highly recommend it if you want to have authentic Hungarian food.

An underground gem for Hungarian food. We managed to find this place as most of the other joints were full but we're super happy with the place. The service was top notch and the food was just perfect.

This restaurant was an hidden gem. It was one of the best restaurant we visited on our trip and it was a pleasure to be there. We had lucky as we came without reservation and the manager with tattoos found a table for us. He was very helpful and he recommended us traditional Hungarian food which was very tasty. The place in basement was also very unique and nice designed in traditional way. Overall very good restaurant with good prices and for Hungary very good beer!

It’s a great value for money lunch set :) authentic atmosphere and great staff. Having the post lunch mint was a very nice touch by the waiting staff as well. The topping on top of the pork cutlet was very interesting and fragrant. Kudos!!

This is the second time I come here, first time was about two years ago. The vibes of the place are amazing, the soups we had (goulash and the cheese celery) were amazing and perfect for a cold day. Main dishes are amazing too, we loved the dumplings with the paprika sauce especially. Prices went up a lot since the first time I came but just like in all of the city. Must visit!

A brilliant little restaurant nestled down a quiet street in the centre of Budapest, the food and service were brilliant. It was really nice to find a non touristy place to enjoy authentic Hungarian food I would fully recommend.

This was easily the best restaurant I've been to in hungary.
I absolutely loved everything about this place, the music, the people, the decor and the food.
We started of with 2 soups that were both amazing and had the catfish stew and the deer as main course that were even more incredible. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and had no problem choosing something from their big vegetarian menu. for desert we shared a pancake gundel style which was very good.
highly recommend going here and enjoying the wonderful hungarian cuisine!

Come here early if you do not have a reservation. We went on a Thursday at 18:00 and at 19:00 it was full and they only had room for peolle witha reservation. I had the jokai bean soup, chicken paprikash and chestnut puree and it was delicious. Waiters were really nice. Would recommend this place, great prices

One of the best places we have been on our trip to Budapest. Amazing atmosphere and foods.

Typical Hungarian cuisine in a warm and friendly environment. The carp soup was delicious as well as the other fish dish. Very good wine at a good price for such a central tavern house. Nice and smiling staff too, 5 stars.

We didn't know what to order since it's our 1st time here. The stuff was so useful on recommending us some of their delicious plates. We really enjoyed. I highly recommend you to visit this place once you in Budapest. If you don't know what to order don't worry they will recommend something super delicious.

My husband and I have enjoyed this lovely restaurant in Budapest. The owner and the waiters are friendly. If you like to try traditional Hungarian food then this is a must visit. Jane Goodall even visited this place once and enjoyed the food.
