The Goat Herder - István utca

I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee in the area.

I went on a Saturday afternoon and the shop was relatively full. I ordered a batch brew and as I was paying they were handing me the coffee.

Incredibly fast service and the coffee I had was a Colombian from Awaken roasters.

The atmosphere was calm and the music selection was lovely. (A little loud for my taste but I could still chat.)

A very charming and friendly little café, also suitable for solo travelers. The cookies and croissants are incredibly fresh and delicious, and the latte coffee is also excellent. I highly recommend it to everyone!

After spending all morning sight seeing in the cold, I needed a place to warm up and relax. This cafe is everything I wanted! I was able to get a seat and enjoy a croissant sandwich with a cappuccino. The interior and music is relaxing. Maybe too relaxing as I want to keep ordering and not go back into the cold.

I will need to come back here before my trip is over. Highly recommend!

My first time in Budapest, the first cafe I visited, here. Beautiful space with view to the street, nice service and great coffee. I ordered a flatwhite and they surprised me with this beautiful spooky season coffee! Thank you guys, you are doing a great job! ❤ I recommend!!

Lovely ambience, one of the best lattes in town(I find their lungo is rather weak for me), great food(the food choices look mediocre in the first glance but they would toast every wrap or baguette & croissant sandwich to the crispiest state ❤ once you order them!) and friendly staff & owner.

From the outside it looks like the typical modern-hipster coffee in Budapest. However, this time the long black coffee stood out for its good aroma and the freshly made orange juice made a good pair. Total 1900 huf. Tab water was available on the counter and free of charge. Adding to it, the restroom was clean and in order :)

Small cafe with sweet vibes. Ordered a prosciutto wrap, they grilled it, so cheese got melted, was very delicious. Also coffee was very nice. Paid 2200 huf for this. Worthed is a lot. They have croissants and biscuits too, all handmade. 🙂 Would return anytime.

Very nice breakfast, portions are big. Their squeezed juices are excellent as well as coffee. It is possible that you will have to wait a bit because it is quite a popular place, and there is not much space inside. But the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is ready relatively quickly.

Very good and price worthy breakfast and coffee. Different combinations to select. Quality is coffee and food us very good and service and location are both really nice!

Excellent little cafe just outside the Jewish quarter with extra strong coffee and nice assortment of vegetarian breakfast foods. Also has the best croissant I’ve tried in Budapest!

Cozy place in a quiet area, and very friendly & kind staff with smiles, latte was soft and great :) latte with oat milk costs 1150huf, which is okay price compared to city center

Such a cozy place with delicious food and amazing coffee. I ordered a V60 and its one of the best cups of coffee, i've ever had. Really impressive. I'm quite sad that I found this place on my last day in Budapest. I would have went here every morning of I could go back in time.

Delicious coffee and cookie, great atmosphere - would thoroughly recommend!

Very nice place with friendly staff. There are some minuses however. Place is too small, needs a bit refurbishment. I also found breakfast food offer to be quite limited and prices high (1200 HUF for banana bread). On the plus side food is great and I highly recommend banana shake with almond milk. Avocado toast was delicious as well.
