We had a lovely diner here last night! Whilst looking out at the parliament building we enjoyed a pizza that was super fresh from a wood oven. The sweet potato fries are also a tip, perfectly crispy! As a dessert we were recommended a typical Hungarian dessert:floating Island. A must try when you visit! The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating (they even split the pizza for us on 2 plates beforehand so we could share! ) + there was life piano music!

The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side but to me it was more than worth it!

Excellent food, nice environment, fast service and very polite staff!

This was hands down the best meal I have had in Europe. It was a Sunday night and there weren't many people there. It was quiet, cozy and comfortable. If I had known about this ace a t the beginning of my trip I would have been here every night for dinner

Five stars for everything!! The food was delicious and the service was stellar. We felt so welcomed by the service and atmosphere. The Parma ham pizza tasted exquisite. Special mention to Richard (Richie) for creating a wonderful experience for us.

Went here for early dinner. Ordered pizza and a few drinks. The pizza took a a bit of time but it was worth the wait. Would definitely go back. The tiramisu was to die for.

Mara was very professional, proactive and friendly. She knew the etiquettes of service from replacing the right knife for pizza to placing the bottle label facing the customer to making sure the pizza was cut since it was being shared by us.

I am so late posting this review, but as I type.... and the memories of 2 nights of awesome food and wine (yes I ate there twice, it was so good) all I can say is WOW. The food, the service, the atmosphere. Impeccable. I can only hope to revisit Budapest soon JUST so I can have dinner again at Da Mario. ❤

Fantastic Italian restaurant near the Hungarian Parliament building. Bread and oil whilst waiting, followed by bruschetta and rigatoni on a rich tomato sauce topped with sheep's milk cheese. A dishes absolutely delicious and very tasty. The restaurant is slightly high end so expect to pay a slight premium. Service was excellent and very attentive. Friend had tortellini in broth followed veal.

A really authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Budapest with a great selection of Italian wines. Not the cheapest Italian restaurant you can find in the city, but definitely worth it. Staff is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately often quite crowded as it is located near the parliament.

Italiano vero! This is one of the best italian restaurant in Budapest. We like the vibe, the enterieur and of course the food! Taste perfect! There is a wide range if wine and there are a few cocktail as well.

Great atmosphere and even better food ! We ate twice at Da Mario in our week long stay in budapest. Their pizza is exceptional and the service is great ! Also it is very near the the budapest parliament.

We recently visited Damario restaurant and have to say that our experience was absolutely fantastic! The service was exceptional, and the waiter named Abhitesh was not only professional, but also very friendly. The pizza was excellent - perfectly baked dough. We will definitely go back there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a unique place with a beautiful view!

Amazing pizza. There was also live piano music. Very good service. Deserved 5 star. One thing - the waiter (don't remember the name, beard with golden watch, said that on the receipt the service fee is not included) however there was an item after the sum that said servizdij with an amount equal to a percentage of what we paid. I tipped them anyway but thought it wasn't very cool of him.

Best italian risotto and vegetable grills and wonderful location, live piano music and service. Also great pizzas. Great for romantic diners or with family and friends.

The best place to eat in Budapest, I was also at Ritz Carlton, but here was so much better!

Absolutely perfect! Both food and service! Did not expect to be fantastic food! Ordered duck liver and stefania, blew my mind away and very reasonably priced!

Great food. Great staff. Great location. It's easy to find this place near parliament. It's a wonderful stop along your tourist journey. The staff greeted me warmly and was perfectly attentive. I had tortelloni as my main and it was exactly what I needed. At the last moment I got dessert, tiramisu. Loved it.

Very good service, pasta delicious (but a bit cold...) and pizza excellent (cooked by real fire wood).
