Cafe Frei Mammut

Cafe Frei is the best place to have quality coffee in a relaxing atmosphere.
For decades, this is the only place I go to when in Hungary. Sometimes, even twice a day.
The selection of international coffee specialities and cakes is the best quality.
The price of a coffee compared to the Costa or Starbucks is half.
The atmosphere is relaxed, you can really enjoy a nice drink, have a meeting or just invite a friend.

Just enjoying the afternoon coffee here. The place is located inside Mammut plaza and you need to go through Libri bookstore first to get into this coffee shop. The cashier guy was very helpful and the service was quite fast. I ordered my usual favourite coffee from Coffee Frei, Nicaraguai Dohánykávé and it was amazing as usual. Costarica coconut coffee was also amazing, so just enjoy your time here to enjoy several options of coffees.

I love to come back whenever I am in Budapest. Absolutely professional and feel-good environment! Today I had a “Zanzibar clove latte” with a poppy-sour cherry” cake ! Both were truly amazing! 🥰

I love Frei and this one is inside a bookstore, so plus points for that. However the place is small and often very crowded. Still I love coming here with a book and read. (Even though this the sign says don't bring in books....😂😂)

Honestly, I was kinda suprised of how good a coffe place this is; situated within a book store I didnt expect this.

They have a great variety of specialty coffees, and make really good cappuccino with oatmilk (unlike other caffés I tried in budapest, their oat milk is non sweetened and is properly foamed, as it should be!) for a decent price.

I can unconditionally recommend this place.

Small but cosy. Nice and quiet tucked away in the corner of a bookstore. Coffees are outstanding and extraordinary through the entire chain and no different here.

Very busy place,but It has a nice atmosphere, so I can always take a decent metime here with especial coffee and cake.
