I had a lovely tea with snacks and dessert there. I loved the atmosphere, and the service was really friendly. The cakes and pastry are delicious, and I enjoyed the interesting presentation of my marroccan mint tea. I will definitely recommend it to fellow travellers.

150 years old traditional Hungarian bakery shop is near Mammut shopping mall. You couldn't find anywhere with these quality and elegant cake places. Cadeau is amazing (this is French style). Traditional furee is the best I ever tried.

I recently visited Auguszt Cukrászda for serval times and was blown away by the delicious cakes and pastries. The cakes were beautifully presented and tasted just as good as they looked.

The owner of Auguszt Cukrászda is an absolute delight. She is always smiling and radiates warmth and kindness to all her customers. Her sweet personality is infectious and makes you feel right at home in the cafe. Not only is she incredibly friendly, but she also has a wealth of knowledge about the cakes and pastries on offer. She took the time to explain each dessert to me and even made some recommendations based on my preferences. Her attention to detail and passion for her craft really shine through in the quality of the cakes she serves.

The atmosphere in the cafe was also wonderful, with a cozy and charming interior that made me feel like I was stepping back in time.

Overall, Auguszt Cukrászda is a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth. I can't wait to go back😍🤩😋❤🙌🏻.

Happy to have gone to Auguszt Cukrászda. When you walk in front of the place you are welcomed by the wonderful sent of cakes and pastries. There are many types of cakes available on display. You need a few trips to try them all. The terrace outside is very pleasant under the trees. It is a busy place with locals. The lemonade was very refreshing with mint leaves. The Dobos was beautiful to look at with all the layers and the hard caramel on top. The Kardinális was sinful. Both were really well done and tasty. Great space to hang out with friends or on your own. Lovely place.

We have been going to this place for over four generations. It is more than a pastry shop, it is an institution where you feel at home. Same flavours for over 50 years except for the improved additions, which one doesn’t notice, only that you just somehow feel more comfortable.

Charming old world cukrászda near Széll Kálmán Tér with an incredible selection of baked goods and confections. Sit outside on the terrace for a shady retreat from the rest of the world and you'll forget you're in the middle of the city.

This place was a dream!!! Everything was so tasty. I had the Esterházy torte and kremes… omg!!! The best in Budapest. The ladies at the counters and the waitresses were so nice. The outdoor seating area was cute! My favorite Cukrászda is Budapest

No words can describe the experience here!
After a detailed research of Budapest patisserie we visited a couple of the best-reviewed pastry shops in the town. Fortunately, just when we were to give up and admit that the hungarian bakes and cakes are very much basic, we stopped by this place.
It is situated way out of the tourist city center, near a market more popular among the locals. Don't worry - unlike the noisy street, they offer a quiet garden with a marvelous atmosphere.
The people - very warm-hearted, kind and willing to explain the specifics of all the goodness they offer! As tourists, it is disappointing when someone gets annoyed by questioning the food, traditions and history - but not those people - they wanted to help us understand what we are tasting, to share the ingredients, to explain the process.
The food was exceptional, with very well-balanced delicate flavours - artisanal work of art! Saying this after having tried some of the most popular pastry shops in the town! This one was the best during our stay and it's worth the visit if you want to become familiar with the traditional hungarian taste.
For the price - for us it is more than resonable for the experince you get, keeping in mind the prices in the restaurants, museums... this cukraszda is a museum of hungarian sweets itself! In an ideal world we would be able to try everything and still be in a good shape😉 - everything looked so delicious!
To start with, we highly suggest trying the classic walnut dessert with its crispy top and butter-orange flavour - it was truly exceptional! Also, the August Krémes was the lightest possible!

From a happy and thankfull customer ;-)

Nice traditional coffee in Budapest. It is still family run and you can feel that time slows down the moment you sit down. Not very quick and not cheep either, but it if good quality and reminds me times when we were not in a rush. Hope they will stay alive in this fast food fast life craziness.
