Bigfish Andrássy Seafood Bistro

I can’t give any stars to service because basically you have to go inside order and they are bringing the food to your table so we are sharing the service let’s say. Food was great, fish & chip is worth to try and the sauces next to our dishes was great too. Not gonna lie inside is bit smelly so i prefer to visit there when they have outside seatings.

Very nice bistrot. Food excellent (we really recommend the hungarian fish soup) and the portions are fairly big.

The service is very friendly and helpful. Only thing: first orders are only taken at the bar. The food and drinks are subsequently served. Note that there will be charged a service fee (15%).

All in all a pleasant evening, we would recommend.

Was an amazing experience and friendly staff… you can select your fish from the counter and grill it in a very proper way! Pasta frutti di mare and paella were other options which you can share with your friends and enjoy local wine…

I came back after some years and the place is still super nice and the service really great. 2 minus - prices raised up a lot we spend like 360 euros for 3 people (careful when you order fish by weight)! The second is the pastas like spaghetti and risotto (pre cooked arriving in 3 minutes ) both completely over cooked - for that price they should be perfect.

The waitress Vivian was so welcoming and Professional, she served us with a smile the whole time. I highly recommend the place 👌

Four of us went for a late lunch on a Friday, we didn't have a reservation, but luckily the place wasn't full and we got seated by a window.

There's fresh fish on ice for you to choose from, however you'd like it prepared.
We ordered a Fresh mixed salad, Beluga lentil salad, Monkfish Fillet, Potato fries, Prawns in chillie oil and garlic & Hummus with roasted root veg. We also had a few lemonades, coffee and mineral water.

The food was very good, as was the service. It's not a cheap place. I'd love to go back.

Best meal we had in Budapest (and we had a lot of very nice meals). The quality of the fish is excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Being from the UK, we were surprised it cost less than £40 per person. Will definitely be back if I return to Budapest

Absolutely amazing, we had a selection of fish and seafood with a lovely Hungarian Riesling. Octopus, scallops, prawns, calamari, and a couple of tuna steaks, all individually cooked to perfection.
A wonderful experience and highly recommended.
Will visit again when in Budapest, 100%.

So I’m writing this review in a little bit of wrong order we just had our second meal at a different location over by the Danub. I figured I would leave a review here as well. Both locations are phenomenal have a different field. One is more rustic and the other is a little bit more refined. This one here is rustic when you get a chance to see the chef cook your meal right in front of you. We had a great meal. Alex makes a great fish to I figured I would leave a review here as well. If you love seafood this is a great place to go in Budapest. Plenty of friendly staff around that are attentive. Food is freshly prepared and tasty.

Went on business on my own, but would recommend if going in a group to book; as it can get busy. Also regarding price, it is seafood in the city so it is on the premium end, but feels fair value for the quality.

Followed one of the reviews on here’s advice in getting:
-white wine mussels
-big fish tacos
-oysters
-white wine (Big Fish Sauvignon Blanc 2021).

I would echo that sentiment and it hit the spot. I would recommend getting the above too and others to try this place for sure.

The staff are amazing, very reasonable pricing and you are able to choose what you eat!

Our family use this restaurant everytime we visit Budapest and will carry on too as the service and food is brilliant!

I really like this place! We came after a bottle of wine, really hungry and need some food. The service was excellent and quick and the food was fresh and delicious! It's not easy to find good fish restaurant in Budapest, so don't miss that one!

5 points are not enough to rate this bistro. On a scale of 1 to 5, this bistro deserves 7 or 8 points, no exaggeration. For seafood, fish and oysters, this is the best place in all of Budapest.

This bistro can serve as a standard and prime example of how to run a fish restaurant. Clear concept, good menu, very friendly and attentive employees, fast preparation, short waiting times and concentration on the most important things for a seafood restaurant: Fresh and high-quality seafood.

You can only get fresher than here if you catch the fish yourself. The oysters in particular are as fresh as they have just been delivered by the oyster catcher.

Great place for seafood. Fresh and tasty with attentive stuff and good selection! Dont forget to try the dessert.

Really lovely meal here. If you are unsure on final prices - just ask while ordering. It can be intimidating at first but a great experience.

Fresh, well-prepared fish, lobster, oysters, octopus and more. Casual indoor dining with very attentive waitstaff! Very good fish ‘n chips!

Very interesting concept where you can choose the fish you want to eat at the ice bar. It will be grilled and served with a side dish of your choice. Super friendly staff, you never have to wait for anything. The fish was super fresh and delicious. Paella was not only rice, but 50% fish and seafood. The soup was one of the favorites.

Lovely atmosphere, good service and amazing food. I've been there for the third time and I am still planning to go.
