Not sure why this is not higher rated. Perfect little pizzeria that is fresh, flavorful, and very inexpensive. Decent wine list too. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing! We weren’t expecting to eat Italian while in Budapest, but happened upon this place at just the right time. The service was great, and the pizza was amazing. Definitely stop by here if you are craving authentic Italian food while in Hungary.

The food and service was incredible!! I had the olive, mushroom and sweet pepperoni pasta and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My boyfriend loves his meal as well, would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was also fantastic and extremely accommodating

Being tourists in Budapest we have tried numerous restaurants and I have to say this is the best restaurant of them all. We've visited this restaurant twice. Good prices. Excellent food and a great wine selection. Truly a great experience

Have been in Budapest for 3 days and Trattoria da Massimo has been my favourite place for dinner. Excellent Italian (and Hungarian!) food and lovely people to chat with.
Thanks to Mario and Anita for being extremely kind (and patient) while taking my orders. An incredible 'bravissimo' to the chefs Massimo and Pio for preparing delicious food and, of course, a big thank to the owner for being such an amazing host.
I do recommend this place for eating well and having a great time with lovely Italian and Hungarian people.

We had a great experience here. The staff and chef were incredibly accommodating and kind - we arrived late one night and the chef prepared a special off-menu meal for my son at his request. Overall, the food was tasty and the wait staff were also excellent.

Great pizza and pastas in Budapest. Happy children and family, nice atmosphere and a very nice waiter, english speaker. I truly recommend.

Had a great experience, the food was delicious and the staff very nice and helpful. Also a baby- friendly place and in a great location. Only would advise to book in advance as they may be full and it takes a while to get a table.

Every time when we are in Budapest we have to visit this restaurant. I haven't words for describe of this food because it is art, and five stars is not enough.
