Such an excellent and delicious dining experience! The food was outstandingly good, the ambience was serene and the service could not be faulted. And that they specialise in white wine pairings was the cherry on the cake! The casino egg (Hungarian take on devilled) with sturgeon caviar was utterly decadent; the guinea fowl and the venison were perfectly cooked, moist and still with juices gleaming. Since I chose an earlier dining slot, the restaurant was still not full, and the sommelier was most generous with his time, patiently describing the bottles for the pairing (thank you Lajos 🙏🏼). Highly recommended, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Babel was one of our best restaurants in our trip. The menu was excellent, full of flavors, technique and amazing presentations. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit to babel if you are in the city .

We booked Babel by accident, multiple restaurants in the same booking platform. However, it was a very happy accident! The food was amazing. If you go, make sure you do the wine, or the non alcoholic drinks, pairing option.

Amazing experience. My wife is pregnant and I shared this information ahead of time, and the restaurant took many extra steps to ensure her experience was still unforgettable despite not being able to enjoy the wine and certain foods, including a special juice pairing. The staff were great, the food and wine pairing was unforgettable. Very creative cuisine and unique ambiance. Would definitely come again and recommend!

We have been fine dining throughout Europe for several years now, and found Babel to be an absolute top experience. We are actually surprised it has not yet earned a second star, and are hopeful that the food, wine and service will be rewarded soon - because this was the level of experience that we enjoyed.

We did not expect when booking this trip to Budapest to want to return so soon - but this is now something we will do, in large part because of this restaurant. We want to see what else this kitchen can do!

The wine pairing was the highlight. Almost every wine was unique and of a very high quality, and would have stood out on its own. But this was magnified in the expert pairing with the dishes.

We shared ahead of time that we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and they were kind enough to include a small birthday cake to help us mark the occasion. This was a nice attention to detail.

Perfect experience all the dishes were very balanced and tasty I think it will get a second star soon the only suggestion I would make in comparison with the two and three star restaurants I have dined in is that prices should maybe be a little lower for the one star

Refined restaurant where everything is executed with care and professionalism. Every dish was delicious in its own way. The Aubergine dish was surprisingly exceptional. The staff is friendly, professional and warm. The price is relatively high for the experience.

Stylish, elegant fine dining restaurant in downtown Budapest. Extravagant and experimentist tasting menu with white based wine-pairing. Courses are rooted on traditional Hungarian (Transylvanian) foods, the wine selection is based on Hungarian micro-wineries. Kind and polite staff. Expensive, but unique experinence, worth to visit for fine dining enthusiasts.

The river in downtown Budapest. An amazing wine paired dinner from start to finish. Strong attention to detail with a casual dining feel in an intimate setting. I would have to say that the the signature dish is remarkable - casino egg with caviar - the layering of flavor with the saltiness of the caviar is a delicate balance of flavors with that extra "pop" that i enjoy on my food. Well worth the trip and hopefully they get their second star soon. Thank you for taking the time with our "loud" crew!

We came to celebrate our first year as a married couple, when we entered we were treated to champagne at the house's expense following our celebration. The service continued with a detailed explanation of the evening and the food we were going to have in addition to rechecking our food restrictions.
The evening continued with excellent service and unique dishes combined with local wines and everything was at the highest level.
In conclusion, a very, very meticulous place is recommended in my opinion, the only thing I would improve is the speed of speech of the sommelier who really explained in detail about each wine but spoke very, very fast and for those who do not speak English as a native language it can be confusing.

This is a world-class dining experience. The atmosphere is both chic and comfortable, and the service impeccable with a subtle touch of theatre. Every one of the many small courses was creative, beautifully constructed, and delicious. A few rose to the level of truly spectacular, including the smoked eel / salmon caviar, the casino egg / caviar, and one of the desert courses semolina / apricot & charcoal. It was a very nice touch when the chef came out to finish one of the courses at the table. The wine pairing was equally interesting, consisting solely of Hungarian whites. Some were challenging to the palate, some smooth and silky, but all paired extremely well with the dishes. Highly recommended for a top-notch evening out.

We enjoyed the 10 course menu with "paired juices" and it was absolutely amazing. It's not cheap and if you prefer spare ribs or a big steak, this place is not for you. It was less "personal" then in some other restaurants we did in Budapest but the courses were among the best we ever had. I would say it's sharing the nr 1 position with Rumour which is just around the corner. I will add some pictures but in this case I would like to say they do not justify the amazing flavors. It was much better than it looked (and it looked great!). A must visit for everyone who loves fine dining.

Very friendly staff and the 8 course exploration menu with wine pairings was out of this world. Beautiful restaurant with a perfect, cosy ambiance. We were very well looked after and enjoyed some chat with 2 or 3 of the people looking after us.

We enjoyed every course, but the Guinea fowl was my favorite. The casino egg was an add on. It was good, but in retrospect, we didn’t need to add it. Our first bottle of wine was amazing-the st. Andrea Nagy. The somm and waiter were fantastic. We would definitely return.

A great dinner. At first you might think that the dishes are small and not too ma u, yet you would depart feeling well fed :)

The whole experience is not as long as many other Michelin restaurants I’ve been. And could fit in a normal length dinner.

They managed to make our dining experience like a 5 star theatre play. Attention to details, both in food and service was remarkable, while still having a personal, warm and open approach, as opposed to an overly elitist experience you might have in other top-end restaurants.

P.S. Definitely go for the wine pairing together with your dish. I'm not even much of a white wine fan, or rather I wasn't.
