we came to try the curly pig sausages.

The red sausage taste very meaty and smoky, I recommend try with the original flavor first then try with mustard, both ways are superb!
P.s it's better to have some bread when you eat the sausage or else it will taste a bit too salty later.

Another two sausages I assumed they were blood pudding sausages, and again, super tasty and great flavor!
I personally really dislike the blood pudding as they always have that irony taste and I just can't get over the texture.

The blood sausages here were game changer to me, no irony or other weird taste. Not like the regular blood pudding, it's a bit soft, but for some reason the softness made it taste so good...!

Overall it's a great place to have a quick bite, sausages are must try items!
We would love to try some other side dishes next time as they look delicious as well 😋

Good spot for a quick Hungarian snack, sausage, pickle, mustard and bread. Just a few Euros. Lots of other meats available to suit any taste. Quick service. A real local experience.

Amazing sausage, best I have eaten. We went for a blood sausage, liver sausage and the classic sausage, all were delicious accompanied by the mild Hungarian mustard. On the side we had a duck leg, potatoes and braised red cabbage, all excellent.

If I am ever back in Budapest I will definitely be returning

Wide selection of food, very costumizable orders and portions, you can order per 100 grams. They make it fresh in front of you. Looks like a butcher shop and you can pick the meat you want. There are good salads and side dishes. Very kind staff, fast service. No chairs though to sit. 3400 Ft for what you see on the picture, roughly 250 gr of honey mustard chicken breast, big portion of chips fries.

The sausages in this place… are glorious!!! With some potato chips and a cold beer… pfff. I want to eat here everyday!!!

As an Asian having hyper palatable tongue, this restaurant was satisfying and flavorful! Very umami (to note, in a good way, not in a bad way)

So far, these were one of the best dishes I eat throughput my 2 years stay in Europe. I have visited 37 cities so far and subjectively, this was the most remarkable.

I tried the sausage, pasta layer stuffed with beef and potato, and fish wrapped with bacon. Other reviews complaining about standing eating style — I dont mind with that. This place is to a eat and go. Keep in mind that their guests are mostly Hungarians, most of them eating here for quick meals. No toilet, no english, and the server aren’t friendly enough to translate things for you. Translate everything yourself before going to the counter, don’t let people waiting.

Only in Budapest for a day, my family and I decided to opt for a classic Hungarian meal. Following a stroll through the Grand Market and not particularly swayed by any of the tourist filled stalls, we opted to walk down a few streets and settled on Belvárosi Disznótoros. The restaurant, resembling more of a lunch counter, was busy, and seemingly filled with lunch workers on the go.

We grabbed a standing table outside and ordered a variety of recommended items including a goulash, potato and sausage stew, seared pork, paprika sausage and assortment of pickled items and salads. The Hungarian affinity with paprika was evident in our range of dishes, with every hot item featuring the spice as the primary flavor. As we waited for the pork to finish searing on a flattop we dug into everything else. I had my preconceptions about the food, expecting the flavors to be one dimensional, but was delighted by the quality of the dishes. Standout was the aforementioned seared pork, fatty and full of flavor from its marinade. When paired with a housemade spice paste and braised cabbage the combination was delicious. The paprika sausage was also very tasty, with a delightful snap and fatty pork meat seasoned with a heavy dose of paprika. Prior to visiting Budapest I had heard of the country’s excellent quality of pork and the dishes we sampled definitely lived up to the reputation. Stewed dishes were good but less impressive and I found the goulash to be warming and simple, but not exactly a dish I would hunt down.

Overall, for a meal of traditional Hungarian food in an informal but lively setting, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Belvárosi disznótoros.

Delicious local cuisine with no frills. Fair prices and helpful staff. If you're not one of those stuck up tourists who expects everyone to bend over backwards to service you, go and eat here, you won't regret it. We just had one hell of a lunch, that was both delicious and filling. I did get a lot of things, that's why i ended up spending 15K florint, but my god is it worth every single penny. If you are in a hurry and want to eat something typical, I recommend you try it. The pork 'blood' sausages are excellent!

Was my first time at a vegan restaurant, was always hesitant about a vegan restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised ! It was really good and really filling ! I had the goulash and the pasta version dinner. Was very happy with my dishes !

This place is a go to for locals. The Menu was in Hungarian so it was a bit difficult to place an order. I asked a local ahead of me at the queue (instant food guide). He recommended the fried Breaded Chicken. It was really good. Big portion too!

After leaving Széchenyi Thermal Bath we were so hungry and decide to go to this place featured on house Hunters International Belvarosi Disznotoros; this is an excellent place to have lunch at first glance it was very intimidating to order by my wife was able to order in English. The food was fresh well-seasoned and an excellent value, for local people it has a butcher area with an array of cuts of meat well laid out.

I had lunch here a couple of times and both were a bit crowded but, it has really tasty food with good prices.
Perfect for tasting some Hungarian dishes. The staff was very friendly and the environment nice.

Authentic Hungarian eatery. Standing tables only, cafeteria style self service and cleanup after yourself. Cheap eats but tasty

Very much a cafeteria style location. You eat standing up and the entire menu is written only in Hungarian on chalk boards above the serving area. It’s a bit intimidating at first if you don’t speak the language, but our server spoke English and if all else fails, you can always point to what you want. Great prices too!
