Nika Restaurant

Excellent modern, trendy restaurant in the heart of Budapest that serves world food and traditional Hungarian cuisine. The place is absolutely lovely. There's in and outdoor seating. The staff is very helpful and can answer any questions regarding the items on the menu. They have an extensive drinks menu which offers alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. If you have a sweet tooth, several deserts are on display. The prices are fair and the portions are generous.

We came here because of traditional soup which was included to our ticket. To be honest, we didn't expect such a delicious Goulash Soup and such a perfect service. Also we tried cappuccino and it was great too.
I can easily recommend this restaurant for you.

Good food and greate ambiance. We eat a very good hungarian gulas and a specific desert which was also tasty.

Went there because it was close to the hotel and was surprised. The service was very good, a young waiter was very nice. The dessert and drinks were tasty and the price was good. Also there was a live performance of a violinist with modern song that played very well. We will defiantly try the food next time!

This place is classy and of very high quality food and drinks. Gulash-soup is too tasty here! Also I had homemade lemonade (the blue one) and it's no joke - it was the best drink I've ever had in my life. If I ever come back to Budapest I'll definitely come back here to Nika and drink as much of this lemonade as I can.

Great restaurant and the breakfast , we loved them very much !

Nice and friendly stuff, our waiter even spoke German (Good for my parents who don´t speak much English). Food was like all the time excellent quality and portion big enough, I recommend the Vegetarian Pasta with Sunflower seed pesto. A next visit is sure

Such a pleasant experience as my last breakfast in Budapest. the service was good and the food quality was good as well. As an improvement, I suggest that the staff increase their English language knowledge.

Nika restaurant is the new name (with a new location too) for the old Bali restaurant. I went there with a friend to specifically eat Gulyás soup because they are cooking it in a very nice way, the portion is really good and its price (just 990HUF) is the definition of value for money. The taste was exactly the same like in the old place which was a very positive thing. I totally recommend it this restaurant. The location is very convenient (few meters from Astoria metro), the prices are very reasonable and the staff is helpful and speaks English too.

We came here for the free Gulasch soup from the hop on hop off bus tour, but it was really worth coming, with bread and a big bowl of tasty meat and veggies inside, not too salty, it was the best soup I had in Hungary.

I recommend this place for bringing your date or to conduct business meetings in particular. Here are some points I observed:

- main lights are well positioned and in balance with the color tones of the walls and furniture

- glass pane walls add a flashy glamour for the whole length

- there is a blue light theme going on which is known to generate trust

- multiple representative but discreet rounded shapes are charming for the eye

- chairs are very comfortable

- we were only having drinks, but food looked really appealing and ornamented on other tables

The rest is about the same as your usual expensive category restaurant: professional staff, lobster, soft music, champagne on ice, etc

Staff was really nice and friendly. Food portion was great too! Would definitely visit the restaurant, especially if you're part of the hop on hop off tour (free goulash!).

The place was nice and clean. The chocolate fountain came with a generous fruit and sweets plate. The service was really good with the staff being polite and attentive.

Staff was super nice and even though we turned up 45mins before closing, they took our orders and serviced us to past closing... We went for the free goulash but stayed for the service... A restaurant done right... The food was also beautiful!

We went here for breakfast. They have a list of different complied breakfast which all are very delicious. They come with orange juice and coffe or tea.
The restaurant itself has a cool modern design.

Dont let the other reviews cloud your judgment, it is a supereb place which serves good food at good price, i was wondering if to go or not duo to the negetive reviews i saw, it deserve a 5 star rating and hopefully will keep the good phase. Go for the tartar, it far excended my expactions.

It Is a very good restaurant, free Gulash with your Hop on Hop off ticket, the pricess are very competitive. If you are planning to visit the city you can't miss this charming place.
