Amazing vibe and good prices! I read some negative reviews and was a bit worried, however, we had great time! Service was great - fast and attentive. Food was served quickly and it was delicious. Will come back for sure 😊

Fantastic venue we had goulash soup and beef broth soup for starters both full of ingredients and very tasty,fried chicken with sheep curd for main(don't let it put you off)it was lovely would recommend booking as we did as people were getting turned away

We had a great time there. The service was nice and really fast. We had strawberry cream and garlic cream soup, both of it were excellent. I had pizza which wasn't the best I had, I wouldn't choose that again, but the gnocci with spinach and the meat were great. For dessert we chose cottage cheese balls, also delicious. I recommend this place.

Absolutely fabulous staff and such a cool atmosphere! Food is incredibly well priced and the value for money is just unbeatable. Will be back!

We (and everyone else) sat outside on the terrace as it was too hot to sit inside the train, this was no problem for us as we came for the food.

They have some vegetarian options on the menu. We shared two starters, the fried camembert and eggplant cream with flatbread which was super good. I tried the four cheese gnocchi, the sauce was a bit bland and runny for my liking but it was okay!

The staff is super friendly, for two starters, two mains and 2 big beers we spent around 40 euro, would recommend!

One of the most atmospheric restaurants I have ever been. Prices are fair and exceptionally cheap for the offered presentation and value.

Our waitress Vivien was super cute and caring. The place is a Gem in Budapest which should not be missed.

Come hungry. The amount of food served here is unreal for European standards. Speaking of, the food is great and tasty.. the service is quick and this seems to be a nice little restaurant IN A TRAIN. However, there is outdoor dining and on this day that we went, we were asked to be outside. If I ever come back, the dining will definitely be inside as this is one of those most unique features that I have ever witnessed at a restaurant.

The wagon is warm, cozy, beautifully decorated and the staff is kind, helpful and cheerful.
The food was really good too, big portions and great prices.
It was the best end for a tiring day walking the streets of Budapest.

Wow. The goulash soup was perfect for me: full of meat, potatoes, small dumplings, bell pepper. Very tasty, colourful, spicy.
Also the other dishes like Wiener Schnitzel, chicken, fries were satisfying and we left the restaurant full and half. I really recommend this place also because of a very friendly staff.

World class food, super cozy diner and nice staff. The goulash is otherworldly. What more could you need? Oh, and outstanding beer!

Very good food, the waiter was rushing around but was still kind, the vibe of the restaurant is amazing! For 3 people the price was okay. Will definitely go back

Great concept, good food, friendly staff. We went to Vagon for a dinner and really enjoyed it. Apparently it has been around since 1994.

Really cool experience, eating inside the train. The waiters names were both Ferry and they were so helpful and kind! We had goulash soup, hungarian beef stew and chicken condon bleu with rösti and salad. Everything was very tasty! Reasonable prices and a very cozy restaurant.

It's simply a very charming little eatery. Quirky and atmospheric as it is inside a vintage railcar. The service was with a smile and the food was cooked to perfection with not even a hint of old. Oil that breaded fried dishes can sometimes have. Prices are reasonable and the interior is air conditioned and comfortable. Free WiFi too.
