Wonderful beach with a beautiful and perfect view of the old town of Dubrovnik. Was recommend by a tourist website and is absolutely worthwhile :)
We planned only one day at a beach in Dubrovnik and I would return here for sure - especially when being on a short trip here.
Arrival by public transfer - bus route 8 - and get out at the last stop (ask the bus driver where the stairs to the beach are).

Secluded and a 20 minute walk away from the old town, this beach is great! Like all the beaches in Dubrovnik, it’s primarily stoney. There is a small walkway you can go down which leads to a pier and some rocks you can jump off. The bar on the beach was playing music rather loudly though which was a bit jarring but it wasn’t too bad. Highly recommend and worth the walk!

Small beach with a view of Kings landing. There are two bars for drinks and snacks. No restaurants or shop to buy food. Many beach chairs are available! Crystal clear blue water. Really enjoyable.

A true gem just outside of Old Town. A short taxi ride away and the chairs are €15 each and the umbrellas are also €15 each. Restaurant and bar also located on the beach as well! The stairs also have little bench areas along the way if you need to take a break or just want to take in the view.

Gorgeous views. Clear water. Not too crowded. A great place for a beach day!!

Roads are quite narrow to get there so I’d recommend taking an Uber or taxi. You do have to walk down a few flights of stairs to get down to the actual beach. There’s a small bistro on the beach for food & drinks you can purchase. Sun chairs or umbrellas are €15 each to rent. Otherwise you can always choose to lay down on the rocks / beach instead.

A hidden gem!

Just WOW! This beach has it all. Crystal clear water, views on the fortress of Dubrovnik, restaurant playing deep house, sun beds service. Sunset vibes are amazing there and whole day could be easily spend at that beach, would recommend afternoon tho.
I must warn you about getting there! Be ready to take a cab or walk from Dubrovnik, don't use your car to get there. You will pay 6,60Eur per hour!

What a fantastic swimming spot with views to Dubrovnik. It is well worth the walk out of town. The road splits about half way. Take the lower road which is quiet with little traffic, past some luxury villas and a glam hotel or two. The road has superb views. The beach is pebbly but the water beautifully clear and there is an outdoor shower at the back of the beach! There is a restaurant/ Cafe too. There are also stairs to a swimming spot off rocks part way along the quiter section of the road on the way.

I rank it with 5 stars as a beach experience comparing to other beaches in the area, not actually as a beach. (It would have 4 points).
I recommend, the walk is nice also.
You can go from the coast line (longe and nicer) or with the short cut (harder and through the city).
Beach is less crowded than downtown, is at walking distance, and you have all the services. When I went, the music was also great. Beer is around 35 kn and sunset is very nice and chill.
I didn’t take pics at peak hour, but it was not that bad. Rented a shade for 50kn and had a great afternoon.

A perfect little beach away from the Old Town. Hence, not overcrowded. On a hot day, I would recommend not to walk but to use Uber.
There are quite a few stairs to negotiate going up or down, so be ready for that.
The beach bar serves great coffee, drinks and simple food meaning you can comfortably stay all day without going anywhere.
My favourite beach in Dubrovnik, with amazing views especially at sunset.

Great beach, amazing view. A bit hard to find and you have to walk around 2km, from which maybe 1km is stairs, to reach it, because there are no parkings around, but it was definitely worth the walk. Prices are lower than the other beaches in Dubrovnik. 150kn for two sunbeds and an umbrella, although we didn't use them much, because there was a bar, not too crowded with people, so you can sit and drink there for hours and then stay in water. Crystal clear water. A little sand, not only rocks like on the other nearby beaches. Totally worth visiting.

This Beach is a Gem. We really enjoyed our time there. For the Pros and Cons of the Banje Beach and Sveti Jakob Beach. You can check my YouTube Channel “Bonus Berk”

Amazing local beach, a bit tough to walk and go down and then upstairs when is 30 something degrees.
You can enjoy a beer, a cold drink of a coffee and have a bite as well.
Beach chairs available for 50 kunas, if you want beach umbrellas another 50 kunas.
Honestly, too much, bring your own

Amazing beach just 30’ min walk from the old town or just a few minutes ride with the bus.

If you take the bus, it stops at Viktorija station, turn immediately right down the stairs and then left all the way straight to the beach. Once you arrive there its about 160 stairs to go down and enjoy the amazing views and crystal waters of that beach.

There is a small bar on the left and a restaurant on the right (both accept cards).

On the way back its a bit of an uphill but its worth it.

Tip: if you are using the bus, download the Moovit app as it helps navigate through the stations. Also, bus tickets purchased in bus cost 15kuna (only cash) and if bought from the kiosk right outside the old town at the Pile bus station they cost 12 kuna (cards accepted).

This is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. It was really peaceful and not as crowded as the other beaches. The water is crystal clear and warm. However, when entering the water you have to be careful with stepping on the rocks so you don’t slip, so wearing appropriate water footwear would be a very good idea. Apart from that, it is heaven

Lovely pebble beach less than 10 min ride from Dubrovnik.
You climb down a set of stairs but it’s so worth it! The water is crystal clear and so clean.
There’s even a restaurant and a bar (who accept credit cards!).
To rent an Umbrella + 2 sun beds: 210 krunas.

My favourite beach in Dubrovnik: not as crowded as Banje Beach which is located closer to the old town, with crystal clear water. Good conditions for swimming and snorkeling (colorful fishes).

Interesting place to visit. Pretty much empty and nothing happening since the hotel was deatroyed during the war but that makes it a perfect spot to go get some peace. A very friendly cat hangs out there too :)

A lovely beach located eastward from Dubrovnik.
Getting there: Can be accessed by Bus 8 from Pile Gate (as of July 2022), a bus with a circular route so there's only one direction it goes in. There are multiple ways to get to the beach, most of it involving climbing down atleast a 100 steps. We found a narrow set of stairs across from the bus station and that led us to a road which then led us to the beach. The access to the beach is beside a cathedral of sv. Jakov at the end of the road.

About the place: This beach is truly one of the nicest beaches you can find around Dubrovnik. It's quite big and so one can enjoy swimming here inspite of the crowd during peak hours. Two cocktail bars are situated on the beach towards the back and a reasonably priced umbrella and beach bed rental service is situated between them. In July 2022 the rent was 70 kuna per unit. So we paid 210 Kuna for 2 beds and a shared umbrella. Spent the afternoon and early evening here before heading back to Pile Gate, which is about 15 minutes away by the same bus 8 which restarts from here.

To sum up: If you're looking for a quiet beach which is a bit away from the bustling city centre and would like to avoid tourists, with a great view of the fort walls then this beach is the ideal pick.

The best beach near Dubrovnik! It is so wonderful!!! The water is clear as tears, and the hill behind the beach protects you from strong wind (and because of that it is too hot from time to time). There is a restaurant and bar on the beach, so you can have a lunch or buy some drink or ice-cream. The only minus is that you have to overcome looooong stairs down to the beach... and then up))))
