Intimate local dining spot open for lunch and dinner that serves a wide variety of starters and entrees, all fairly priced. The kitchen is on the opposite side from the entrance. Food comes out hot and tasty. The dining room can get a bit warm. You really need reservations in the evening, with only 20 seats. Remember, cash only. The watermelon lemonade is amazing.

One of my favorite places on the island! Their pad thai is unreal. Easily one of the best pad Thai I've ever had. I had shrimp as well as beef. Both were stellar and delicious. The wait isn't too long and the staff is extremely friendly. I tried the passion fruit daiquiri and it was top tier. I love this place and will always recommend it

Food was fantastic, came out pretty quick and HOT! Probably not super authentic, but we’re not in Asia, but for Honduran Asian food it was amazing! I got the pad Thai and it was good :)

The Pelican is a lovely restaurant not to be missed! The food is very tasty and the customer service is excellent! I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here! In my opinion, it’s the best dinner on the island. I ate at many places and always returned. Their veggie pad Thai is excellent. Get it spicy.

Big fan of the Chicken Tikka Masala (or lamb when available). The Ox tail is a Caribbean delicacy (that gravy). Love the stewed beef with rice and veg. The lasagna and pasta Bolognese are ideal for after diving hunger. Can never go wrong with a smoothie. Or the fried shrimp. It's all tasty.

Conveniently located across from UDC and Underwater Vision, on the point, above Vero's store (green shop). Comfortable open balcony seating, with a view of the main road.

Great food, expect to pay American prices, but it is worth it. I never had a bad meal there no matter what we tried. It takes a little, as everything is made to order, but again, it is worth it. I will be back when I come back to the island.

A great husband and wife owned restaurant serving one of the more unique menus on the island, focused on Asian cuisine with an Utilan twist. We come here often, and typically order the Vegetable Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles (sometimes medium, sometimes spicy) with Beef. And spicy really means spicy. I'll also mention that neither of us are vegetarian, it's nice change from the more animal focused menus on Utila. Both dishes are a bit different than in a traditional Thai restaurant, and both are delicious.
It's small, not 7 days a week, and gets busy. Make a reservation and enjoy your meal!

The food here is fantastic! I try to eat here at least twice a week just because the menu is full of items and specials that I want to try.
Pad Thai is one of my least favorite dishes, but Peter makes it to perfection and the portion is almost too much.
The Oxtail was incredible. I'd never had it before but the meat fell off the bone and the flavors were muy bueno.
The Surf and Turf burger is unique to the island and the house sauce makes it. Peter is one of the best meat cooks on the island, so you know you're getting a quality, juicy burger and not a dried patty like most the other places on the island.
The Schnitzel sandwich was MASSIVE. A whole schnitzel comes with it, so it's a meal and a half.
Sarah is a great mixologist and makes the best Daquiris I've had on the island. Drinks are always good.

I came to the pelican looking for dinner after a long day of diving. Unfortunately when I arrived the kitchen had just closed, but as they could see the despair in my face as I had already been turned away by two other restaurant's closed kitchens, the wonderful chef and staff took care of me and made me a plate of DELICIOUS pad Thai with chicken to go and saved me from a dinner of snacks from the shop. Thank you so much to the entire staff for the amazing meal last night! I can wholeheartedly recommend this place not just for the food but for their hospitality.

The best Thai food on the island, we can't go a week without having Peter's Pad Thai and Green Curry. Good idea to make a reservation as tables fill up fast.

The pad Thai is definitely the best on the island! The food and service were fantastic. Everything was very fresh and hot when it got to the table.

I was craving Pad Thai, and someone recommended the pelican. I’m SO glad they did. The portions were huge, the schnitzel was fantastic, and so was the pasta with white sauce! And of course, the Pad Thai was well worth it, and hit my craving right in the face

I absolutely love the pelican! Food, Staff and ambiance are amazing! Very much recommended! My favorite dish: Veggie Pad Thai, very delicious!!! You can either go for Lunch, or dinner. Recommendation for dinner, be there early, due to it’s very popular 👍😋

Absolutely delicious! My husband and I ate here 3 times while visiting Utilia. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Probably our new favorite restaurant on the island. Great daily specials, good portions, lovely service. Make sure you try the pad thai!

big portions, international flavors and a very diverse selection

The pelican is a cozy small restaurant with a very diverse menu with international flavors. The portions are big and you get to decide on spice levels and the protein you want for most dishes which proves how freshly they prepare everything. Love to go there and always leave full and happy!!

Spent two weeks on Utila and honestly this place has the best food. Loved it so much we came back multiple times. The Thai food is second to none.
