RJ's totes themselves as the best food on Utila, and they're definitely in the running (though that title goes to Mama Rosa in my mind)
RJ's is definitely a SPECTACULAR BBQ joint with a nice array of meats and even better selection of sides. However, the dessert stole the show - The coconut cake was DIVINE!

We ate here twice during our stay on Utila in January 2023. RJ's is a definite pure Utila experience! You absolutely must eat here during your stay. They are only open Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night but the food is absolutely fantastic, the portions are mammoth and the price is unbeatable! We highly recommend the pork chop, the steak and the Chicken Bacon Burger.

It is one of the best places to eat on the island. The portions are huge. I ate here three times during my stay. The carrot cake is divine and so is the triple X chocolate cake.

As delicious as they all say! Nice relaxed vibe with simple, perfectly cooked food delivered in generous portions. I suggest you reserve and go early as things start to run out as the evening goes on.

GREAT FOOD! Must go when they are open. Get there early because they get busy quickly. If you are having dessert order it with your food as they sell out quickly. Carrot cake is GREAT!

Hit it 👍🏿! If you have not been here yet then you must go. Some really big portions and delicious food. You need to go in and find your own seat and then go up and order from the bar. Make sure you get there early if you want any desserts.

The food was fantastic, both burgers and ribeye steak. There should be some information where to order and where to pay, which seems quite random, but eventually they also come to your table.

RJs is my favourite restaurant on Utila without a shadow of a doubt. Informal, friendly setting, HUGE portions of delicious BBQ’d fish or meat that comes with a massive portion of sides, incredibly fair prices, quick service, and drinks & dessert too. I come here whenever I can and it never disappoints. Get the 300L steak, and a slice of any of the cakes - you won’t regret it!

Great food! We split a steak between the two of us and it was delicious and portions were generous. The dessert cake was also 10/10! Highly recommend

The prices are amazing for the amount of food you get, the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Huge plates of BBQ fresh off the grill, served with 5 sides! Fresh fish, local beef, sometimes local lamb, and pork. Homemade cakes made daily for dessert. Get there early as favourites are sold out fast.

Huge portions, good food. Grilled chicken was also smoked which was unexpected.

The pulled pork here on Sunday nights is absolutely delicious! You get some yummy delicious pulled pork smothered in gravy, mashed potatoes, a little rice, mixed vegetables, garlic bread and a green salad for 285 Lempira or $11.80 US Dollars. I actually got another one to go because I wanted to eat it for breakfast. Lol

Amazing food and loved it all. Make sure to get here early so they don’t run out of the food you want (it’s very popular). Also try the cake it’s great. We had the grilled tuna and bbq chicken. Big portions and delicious all round

Had the famous pork chop and it was amazing! The BBQ sauce was so delicious that I asked for extra sauce the 2nd time I went back. The pork was so tender too. Huge portion. Don't forget to order their homemade iced tea. I wish I could stay longer in Utila to try their steak
