I came here on Monday 15/01/2024 as I wanted to buy a pen. I was a little underwhelmed with the range of pens that were on offer. I ended up buying three pens, even though I had only required one pen. This cost me over £3.
The pen works fine and is of sound quality.
The service instore was adequate. I asked the lady whether the pens that I was looking at were the only pens that the shop sold and she answered me in the affirmative.
I thought that £3 something was a little bit much to spend when I only wanted one pen but I managed to get what I came in for and it works absolutely fine so I don’t have too much to complain about.
The shop is in a really handy location, on the concourse of Birmingham New Street, so that is another plus point.
As well as pens, I noticed that the store also sold magazines and small items of confectionery.

You can find many fast moving consumer goods. You can find various publications such as magazines, usually a medium-density store is at a very visible point in the middle of the train station, I can't say I like its design, there is a discount on some products.

Sells a range of snacks, papers and books. Handy being in the station so good between trains.

This is a good little WHSmith store for a quick pop-in. I usually pick up my newspapers from here every weekday morning and the occasionally the odd book. I also buy a regular bar of confectionery from here. Service is always good and the queues are orderly and short whenever I visit.

Pretty understocked and overpriced.

Visit this store probably about twice a week. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Sales Assistants seem disinterested. Often cages and boxes piled high during peak trading hours (rush hour). Stock depth and range is good within the store, pricing structure is steep, however that is company wide, not store level.

As WHSmiths go this is a small store and not the most organised or well stocked. Also the process are horrendous compared to the main stores. I know it should be more in a train station but it's awful, £3 for some sweets that are £1 else where. Is also usually Untidy and not the most inviting store. I'd personally go somewhere else.
