The International Convention Centre is somewhat anonymous on the outside and the entrance (that we used) was not particularly impressive. Maybe we didn't experience the full wonder of the building, but we did spent quite a bit of time in the atrium, The Symphony Hall, the reception areas outside the Symphony Hall and some of the rooms on the other side of the atrium.
The interior of the Conference Centre uses the steel structure as a design feature and is painted blue. The lifts and stairs fit in around the supporting structure and are glass sided so that the light and views within the building are not obstructed.
The building is fully accessible and works well as a social space on a wet and windy day in late October. There were a lot of people in the building (OU Degree Conferment Ceremony), but it never felt too busy and the lifts and toilets never felt overwhelmed and there were no queues.
The staff were lovely. I took the opportunity to ask about the building and also to get directions and the people I spoke with were friendly and seemed happy to be working there. It was interesting to get a perspective on what had been here and to understand a little bit about the people that lived and worked in the area.
A really good venue and if I was still involved in booking conferences, hosting people from around the world, I would definitely talk to the people here. A good place to visit.

Visited the ICC today (well walked though and had a Starbucks) always a good place to walk through, feels safe and quite warm, however today I found another facility that is in the ICC, that I thought I would review....a print & copy station!!! What can I say apart from it's there and works well.

It's a big convention centre in Birmingham. If you're planning a big convention in Birmingham, it's a place you'll want to check out. It also has an art shop so if you're at a conference and you inexplicably want a large painting from a superhero comic then check that out too. Or maybe a print of a painting of a couple dancing on a beach. Or some weird colourful cows.

We came here to the Symphony Hall to see The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. I've been here many times before to attend:
Graduations
Cashflow meetups
Conferences
The staff are very professional, well mannered and always happy to help. The facilities are always kept clean. Perhaps the Gentleman's should be cleaned more frequently than the ladies as, men's bathrooms always stink.

Went to see our son sing in a concert with his school. Lovely venue, plenty of places to buy snacks before going in. Lots of restaurants all around.
Once in the hall, seating is so comfortable and I don't think it matters where you sit it's a great view.

I know there's a cost of living crisis going on right now but if you can afford an evening out to see an Orchestra perform, and you've never done so before... Honestly, do it! It's out of my comfort zone but I'm beyond glad that I did. There's nothing like hearing some epic movie favourites performed in such an acoustic and enchanting concert hall. Support the arts! (Edit: This was LOTR and Beyond, at the Symphony Hall)

I really thought it was a very cool place...visited on the 1st of April to watch Shenyun production and I wasn't disappointed. There are plenty of paid parking options around here within a short walking distance to the venue. Prices are cheap too compared to where I was coming from :)

We drove down so don't forget to pay the emissions charges...I believe it is charged on diesel cars only but please double check.

Located in the heart of Birmingham city centre, it towers and at night time it glows beautifully. Lots of seating spots, bars, restaurants and fine dining within the ICC (anticipating long queues for buying food and drinks when there is an event, plan to arrive sooner if you plan to buy stuff). The theatre was very spacious and great size.

Toilet facilities are available and ATM cash machines too...security personnel were also spotted around.

Beautiful architectural buildings dotted around the ICC, Hyatt's Marriott hotel is next door if you are looking for somewhere to stay.

Loved it and look forward to visiting again 🥰

P.S: apparently it's not too far from the train station as well😊

Beautiful and easy to navigate between halls and conference lecture. On the ground floor there are several stores where you can buy groceries and food on the go.

Excellent events centre. Many facilities on site, including Starbucks and Subway for your food and drink on the go.

It's also home to the Castle Fine Art gallery and the world renowned Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Close to the many bars and restaurants in Brindley Place.

Beautiful and nice place to host events in the City of Birmingham. Future visits would certainly enable me have a more detailed review.

However, with the first visit I can affirm that it is indeed a place to host events of different types and you would like it. You should be here!!!
