I popped in to Alison Tod Abergavenny .
What a wonderful experience.
I have never seen so many hats together.
Walls of hats, graded in beautiful colours and all styles.
Alison and her ladies were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Nothing was too much bother to help me decide on the style and colour I preferred.
Of course there must be some that are incredibly expensive, Alison is a renowned and talented hat designer, but I found my perfect hat at a fair and reasonable price.
Thank you Alison and ladies for such an enjoyable experience.
It was a joy to leave your shop swinging my ‘ginormous’ hat box.

You will not be disappointed. Alison and her team know how to make any mother of the bride feel like a million dollars. The choice of hats is almost overwhelming. But there's no need to worry, as Alison and her team (a special thanks to Andrea in particular) will discuss your requirements and even take into consideration the type of venue the wedding ceremony will be held.
Every hat is customisable. Additional feathers in colours taken from my dress were added to make it unique.
I also purchased a Rainbow Club bag and shoes (that can be dyed to suit any outfit).
I will definitely buy from here again!

Alison made my hat for my son's wedding in February 2020 just before lockdown. I could not recommend Alison and her team highly enough. She managed to get hold of the fabric my dress was made from and incorporate it onto my hat. She even added some of the same material onto my handbag and dyed it so the match was perfect. I will definitely return if either of my other two sons get married even though I live in Scotland.

Went to this shop to get a hat for my mum. The service was first class and Alison’s knowledge, expertise and keen eye for detail resulted in an exquisite hat for Mum which was the talk of the wedding. Alison listened to what we thought was needed and came up trumps, adding in her own suggestions to really provide a personalised experience and ultimately a hatinator that mum was happy and confident wearing. The array of hats is awesome - all colours and styles. While I was there, I ended up picking up a beautiful hat for Cheltenham Gold Cup day which was complimented all day. Would recommend to everyone

Myself and my Mother had called in looking for a Mother of the bride dress and hat. Alison and Grace couldn't have been more helpful. They were both warm, friendly and welcoming and Alison was patient and genuine whilst my mother tried a number of dresses and hats. The range of beautiful hats and dresses available in all colours, styles and sizes is sureal. Today was a successful day and my mother came away smiling and happy with both dress and hat at an amazing price. Thank you Alison and Grace we would 100% recommend you to anyone.

Visited Alison and team in March to purchase a customised headpiece for my trip the the Palace this Month. Had a hat from Alison Tod today. She was incredible- customer made a hat for me to match my wedding outfit perfectly while I waited. I have never seen so many hats and fascinators of every shade and colour. Alison was so helpful, patient and amazing at what she does and her staff were great too. Very reasonable prices.

Our appointment was to find a mother of the bride hat and what an experience it was!
Alison and Jess really took the time to find out what it as we were looking for, whilst imparting their designer advice onto us. Alison considered the whole outfit and even gave some ideas on other elements.
Both Alison and Jess were so kind and made mum feel very special.
We felt very welcome and had great fun!

Went to see Alison having no idea on a hat for my daughters wedding. Alison’s approach was very friendly along with her assistant Andrea who very helpful, relaxed and patient in my selection. When I first walked into the shop I was amazed at the selection and the range of prices to suit all. Alison matched up my hat and bag to my outfit to perfection with so many suggestions. I was so pleased with the hat and bag and felt so confident on the day with many compliments. This week I had the pleasure of collecting my hat from the talented Alison Todd. I am so happy and delighted with what Alison and her team has made for me and they also dyed the hat the exact colour of my dress. I couldn’t be more pleased. These ladies are so down to earth and nothing is a problem for them. They really know their stuff when it comes to colours and material and only work with natural day light to get the best colours. Thank you Alison and Alice for taking the stress off my shoulders, I’m going to enjoy my sons wedding. I will never traipse the shops again. One path one shop!!

I can’t thank Alison enough for choosing my hat for my daughter’s wedding 10/08/19. From the moment I went in I was made welcome and Alison knew exactly what I wanted from the fabulous display of hats she as in the shop and she was very honest in telling me what suited which I liked. When I visited Alison to find a hat for our daughters wedding I fulfilled a long held ambition. It was a wonderful experience. Alison and her staff are endlessly patient and courteous and the after sales care is second to none. I left with a statement piece which my daughter loved and which wowed the wedding guests. I visited Alison Tod a week last Saturday with my mum to look for her mother of the bride hat. We were welcomed by Alison and couldn’t believe how many hats she had - every colour and style you could imagine!
Alison was brilliant, selecting a few hats for my mum to try with her outfit, and in no time at all she’d found the hat! Not only was mum thrilled with the hat, but the price was really reasonable too.
I’d thoroughly recommend visiting Alison if you’re looking for a hat for any special occasion.

We visited Alison Tod a few weeks ago so my mother could choose a hat for my wedding. We hadn't made an appointment but we were greeted so wonderfully! Nothing was too much trouble!
First we were offered some water while we waited for another customer to be fitted - this gave us a chance to browse all the varied hat creations on display. After a few moments we were shown into another room with comfy chairs and an ornate mirror so that my mum could try on a selection of hats the staff had picked out for her. We were given so much attention that my mum (who usually finds shopping rather stressful) was made to feel like a queen and loved it! The ladies encouraged her to try different hats and put on her outfit for the wedding to see what suited. Alison, herself, suggested that she use a button from mum's jacket to give the hat a personal and individual touch! It looks so perfect! The whole experience made our day and really bonded us as mother and daughter.
Thank you so so much to all the staff! (Alison, and forgive me if I've mis-remembered the names - Roberta and Amy?) We will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone!

With only a day to shop for a hat for an important wedding, Alison came up trumps. She gave excellent advice and produced a stunning creation that set off my outfit perfectly. Nothing was too much trouble and I was delighted with the result. I thought that the price was very reasonable given that I was treated to a one-off, handmade and personalised piece. Thank you so much Alison. I will definitely not hesitate to travel down from Sussex the next time I need a beautiful hat!

Visited Alisons shop back in february with less than 2 weeks to go until my daughters wedding and still no fascinator. The shop has thousands of hats/ fascinators but I only needed to try on 2 as Alison knew exactly what would suit me and compliment my dress. She even customised the one I chose using little diamante and feathers that she dyed to match my dress. Absolutely amazing service and I was so happy with my fascinator. Cant recommend Alison enough.

Alison and her staff were amazing. I knew roughly what I wanted for my daughters wedding 17/8/19, I made an appointment and from the first visit I felt that I was in good hands. The finished hatinator was amazing I felt truly like a mother of the bride. The comments I received were of elegance and class. thank you all so much.Took my mum and sister with me, mum being elderly in a wheelchair, staff were most obliging and helpful. Pleasurable experience with a lovely outcome.

What an amazing find. I have never seen so many hats in all shapes sizes and colours. The only problem was I didn't want a hat! Not a problem for Alison. I tried on loads of hats but didn't feel happy in any of them. So then we tried the fascination route. Alison listened to what I wanted and created one in front of my eyes. Exactly the right colour with just the right amount of feathers pearls and crystals to match my dress. It was perfect. We were in the shop for 2 hours and nothing was too much trouble.
