Netherne Village Store

Lovely shop selling the biggest variety of things I have ever seen in a corner shop! Staff are lovely and make a real effort to get to know their regular customers. We have moved away from Netherne now but we do miss having such a handy and well stocked little shop.

I’ve now caught one of the cashiers adding an extra 10p to my transaction twice. He asks if I want a bag, I always say no, he then adds an additional 10p anyway. The till has the correct amount, but he types the wrong amount into the card machine.

If I can give less than one start I would have! The most horrible experience of my life! There is a man who works there who acts in such a condescending way! Absolutely rude! It’s a shame to have this behavior in a small village like ours where everyone knows everyone!
I will never go back there, and I urge everyone to boycott this store until they improve their customer service!

DON'T GO HERE! The store owner is a true conman, if you value your financial security please go elsewhere, not only did the card reader take payment twice, when I questioned him he then rudely dismissed me, and asked for the next customer, please do not go here.

I was with my son, we simply went to the village store to get some milk and cookies, however I was disappointed when the man at the till decided it was appropriate to scam me out of £1.10? Very upsetting, I will be informing the Netherne society group

Be careful when being charged by card. I had a transaction go through twice for two different values. No answer on the phone when a called, just goes straight to a fax machine.

Rude and unhelpful. Refused to take a UPS parcel because it was big. Will not bother visiting again for any purpose.

Reported them to trading standards (via citizens advice) for their surcharge, which has been illegal since 2018.

Don't go here, I was warned about this shop and regret even stopping by on my walk earlier, the uncouth character rudely defrauded me out my correct change, and ignored me, then walked to the back
