The bakery here is fabulous with a great array of pastries and breads to choose from. The croissants are particularly well priced and the goats cheese and feta tarts are delightful.

The prices were affordable, they have a great selection of food, and the place is clean.
If I make it back to England I hope to return!

This supermarket has a much larger selection than other similar shops in Kent, there are always fresh flowers and flower seedlings in pots, and a huge assortment of German sweets before Christmas

In the current climate, where every penny counts, it is worth trying the cheaper supermarkets. We have done our shopping a few times in here, and the price difference for an overall shop is staggering! The quality of food is good too.

Great place to buy scrumptious little inexpensive Xmas presents. No tat or plastic this year. ONLY edibles or unguents ( look it up) so nothing goes to waste. In spite of what meta and Musk would have us believe, there is only one habitable planet.... Earth. It is fragile and precious and, I fear, unique. So look after it before it dies.

I like the low prices, its good quality too although the berries don't last that long so best eat them asap. The staff are always helpful and very polite. The store could do with a deep clean and a new layout. Still great value 👌

Love shopping here cheaper than a lot of places and also sells things different from the same old same old from leading supermarkets

Now this Lidl is my favourite place to grocery shop. Being of the neurodivergent variety, I really appreciate the quiet times in this store. There are no unnecessary bells or whistles, no jarring extreme artificial lighting that burns the insides of your eyelids, no painful cacophony of dis-jointed, mindless supermarket tunes, the aisles are generally free of obstacles instead of awkward pallets with staff desperately trying to squeeze as much produce as possible on to the shelves, and they do a marvellous job of keeping the same products in the same places. That's not to say I don't love the novelty of the sheer randomness of the middle aisle, this makes me happy. Speaking of satisfying my novelty-seeking behaviours, even the everyday boring stuff has an element of the unexpected and unpredictable. You never really know what you're going to come across, and this makes me happy too.

The staff are truly wonderful. They are kind and compassionate, and nothing is ever too much trouble. They cheerfully acknowledge all their regulars, it is nice to be acknowledged, some of us are invisible for a lot of the time. For sure they are super efficient with their lightning speed reflexes at the checkouts, but somehow they never make you feel rushed or stressed.
The thing I appreciate the most about being in this store with these staff is that they know me. They are familiar with all my quirks and oddities, yet nobody ever mentions it; they simply silently and knowingly make the little adjustments for me. It's so subtle only I would know, but I can't even express how much that means to me.

I fear I may have strayed from the 'review' aspect of my intention here, but anyhow I'm sorry not sorry for my Lidl Folkestone appreciation blog. Thanks guys!

Very easy access with free parking.
A very wide selection of items. We spotted large pieces of roast beef in the meat fridge which we had not spotted in other lidl.
Sadly we did not find any tins of baked beans and sausages but a wide selection of fresh sausages were available.
At least 5 self service check out available, so exiting is pretty fast.

Lovely fresh bread and rolls cooked on site. Good layout suitable for wheelchairs. Remember to scan your receipt at the end of shopping or you'll get a parking ticket, lovely fruit and vegetables. Overall good shop if you have a tight budget.

This store is close to home and easy to get to on a daily basis. There is a good range of items and prices are reasonable. We like to get our fruits here and there is a good choice in the fresh bakery section. There is a carpark. The store has been updated and the food section is beautifully displayed.

Excellent value, friendly staff. Expect that you won't always find the brand or item you were looking for, but there are always other stores. Lidl means being adventurous and then being delighted by the quality and value. If driving you need to scan your receipt to avoid a PCN. But even that is easy!

Love shopping at lidl and the prices are so fair for what you're getting. The bakery is really yummy and the flower section is beautiful. My one and only criticism is the staff seem un interested and never enough staff on the tills

Value for money goes without saying. I particularly like that they support British fruit and vegetables. I like that they pretty much keep the same staff which makes me think they are fair employers, but I don't actually know if this is the case. I find their staff very good.
