The guys working today was unhelpful with the Hermes and does offer the services the Hermes webpages says they do. Go else where.

I have been using this shop for 12 years now. I never had any problems.if I could I wouldn't have given any stars. Even minus.
I bought 3 toy lollipops 🍭 I opened one for my 3 year old and was broken. I went inside and I asked the (gentleman) if I could return it and take another one. He started to tell me that I can't return it and get another one because it was my fault. And that is just for the toy not lollipop. I WAS SHOCKED to get that answer from him. It never happened to me before and specifically for a lollipop for a 3 year old I promise it was broken when I bought it.

Dreadful shop, do not go here (and I never will again)

- Filthy (I looked it up and they have a one star Food Hygiene Standards rating, btw)

- Their machine never works with my debit card even though it works everywhere else (it tries connecting to the wrong bank when I tap or insert my card, for some reason)

- Terrible customer service.
The shopkeeper is constantly on the phone when I go up to the desk and need to talk/buy something.

- Doesn't issue receipts, which I find to be problematic.

And this was the event which was the last straw: today I needed to buy a wall adapter for an official Samsung cable, very specifically a "super fast charging cable". I bought a plug from this shop which I was told by the shopkeeper would be compatible. When I got home, I discovered that the adapter was not compatible with super fast charging and only charged at normal speed, making the item useless to me.

I returned and asked for a refund, and he refused. I told him it was an incorrect/insufficient product which was a waste of money to me and that it was my right as a consumer to get my money back if I wasn't satisfied. He told me I'd only get a refund "if it doesn't work", and plugged it into his own phone to show me. I tried to explain to him the specific Samsung fast charging system and that I was not claiming that the product didn't work at all, but that it was the incorrect/insufficient product. For the life of him he couldn't seem to understand the difference between "a product not working full stop", and "a product being the incorrect product when I was falsely told it was the correct product", unless he was misunderstanding me on purpose to avoid giving me a refund (which I feel like he was)and it went around in circles for a while.
Eventually after me shouting at him out of frustration and the shop about to close, he offered me half my money back.

I later got written confirmation from Trading Standards that this refusal of a refund was against the law.

Dreadful company. Avoid.

Update: the owner (not the person involved in the original incident) refunded me 2 months later when I threatened further action, which I do appreciate. It still shouldn't have happened though

Dysfunctional and ill-mannered staff throws your purchase on the floor or half-arsed into a bag he'd charged 5p for that is basically not fit for purpose. I'd advise not to disturb from a vape directly outside the store as it'll provoke his already dour mood before you've even stepped over the dismal threshold.
