What's not to like about this place. Don't be fooled by the location - this place is a real food gem. We came across it when waiting for a ferry at Newhaven with a car full of us all hungry and looking for some decent grub. It's literally a 3 min walk from the ferry terminal and their burgers are insanely good. Try them - you won't be disappointed. Great folks too - really helpful tips for tourists like us.

Hands down the greatest burger ive ever eaten ! Friendly and fast service. You will not be disappointed! Had the blue cheese and bacon burger and wow, the taste was sensational. Will 100% visit again when working down this way!

I’ve lived in newhaven for over a year now and kept saying to myself I’ve gotta try this place. My only regret is not trying it sooner.

An excellent burger. I've always eaten burgers when I travel and I can honestly say this is one of the best I've eaten. The burger was thin, crispy on the edges and with lots of flavour. The bun was good and the fillings fresh.

Service was also excellent. Very welcoming and the team clearly have a passion for what they do.

Really friendly staff and chef. The food was more than amazing for the price and considering that this is primarily a take away business.
I wanted to eat in and they were very happy and helpful.
I had a blue cheese and bacon burger with a side of haloumi fries, and they were both some of the nicest I've tasted in a very long time.

Food is always fantastic! The owner Ben is always great to chat to and willing to make any customisations you want and has an ever changing menu so always new things to try. Great to see the level of passion he puts in to his business, been a regular customer since he opened. Burgers to die for and the loaded fries are sensational

I was staying in Newhaven for the night and I knew I wanted a burger and searched for food on Google maps. Saw the usual places then found Hot Spot Burgers. Read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. I went there to collect and was met by a small cabin, that looked a bit neglected but I AM so glad I didn't turn around. Went in and was greeted with a warm welcome, chose what I wanted and the service was great, even checked I like hot sauce because the loaded fries I chose have very hot sauce. The chap making the burgers came out and was super friendly and again checked on the hot sauce. Service was quick and I got it take away. Couldn't wait to tuck in and WOW, what a burger. I had blue cheese and bacon and it was delicious as were the loaded fries, but I did sweat after the hot sauce, I was warned! Amazing food, definitely give Hot Spot a try if in the area, they deliver too. Thanks guys for the amazing food.

I’m ashamed to say that at first I was put off by the look of this place from outside and inside as it looks very basic, but boy, I didn’t regret trying the food!

I had the blue cheese/bacon burger and halloumi chips, and my husband had the special burger of the week and chips with piri-piri spices. Oh my, both our burgers were soooo good!! Juicy, full of flavour, just perfect.

My husband and I both agreed this is the best burger we’ve tried in two years of living in the UK. And it’s a shame we live a bit far from this place, because I would love to be a regular there.

The chef is amazing and very friendly, as is the girl who took our order. You can see that it’s a business run with love.

First time using hotspot burgers Newhaven , what can I say , it was bloody brilliant and very tasty , had the double blue cheese with bacon I would recommend it to anybody who likes a quality tasty burgers , couldn’t fault the service top marks . Will definitely be using hotspots again .

Spotted this place on Google maps due to its five star rating and decided to get dinner here.

The burgers were great, the patty was seasoned perfectly, you can taste the quality of the ingredients.

Spoke to the owner Ben who was really friendly and passionate about his food.

I'll definitely be going back to try his other burgers as well as his breakfast menu which looks amazing.

If you're looking for a burger in Newhaven then this is the place to go!

Absolutely amazing place, such a good find. 10mins before closing and they got me two amaaaazing blue cheese and bacon burgers and the rosemary chips. Top marks. No faults at all. I would definitely come back. Rest of menu looked great and would have had it all.

A Hidden Gem! Amazing homemade burgers not your frozen heated up meat. Really juicy and fresh. Fries are really good and all sauces are homemade. Defo worth a visit 👌

Accidentally found this burger place while visiting B&Q nearby.
The owner Ben cooks up great burgers for a great price.
I highly recommend anyone to try the peanut butter and jelly burger (unless you got nut allergy ) it sounds weird but taste really good.
They have plenty of indoor seating and if the weather is nice you can also have outdoor seating.
The burger and wings come in nice large cardboard boxes so if you can’t finish their massive burgers you can just take them away.
Ben also frequently changes the burger of the week so there is always something new to try.

We travelled down from Chesterfield and having read all the reviews, we had to try this place. It's absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection. Lots of choice. Great atmosphere. We will certainly be back soon 🤤 fantastic place 👏👏

With THE BEST Burger you will eat in the UK!!

Seriously, with each bite you take - you can feel and taste the love and passion the chef is putting in each of his products. While we were there he came out to one of the costumers and built his burger to their tastes and favorite ingredients.

Our Burgers were juicy, tender and full of flavours, the piri piri chips were amazing and the chef made us an English version to the "Big Mac sauce" (which he calls "Big Ben sauce") to dip the chips in and it was great.

In the past 2 years of living and travelling in the UK and tasting local foods all around, this is by far the best Burger I have eaten.

Also to mention the sweet staff that took our orders and the overall cheerful atmosphere you all had.

Keep up with the passion of creating amazing food and being awesome.

We went there to treat our son and what a treat. The portions are really generous. The rosemary and garlic chips are so simple bur yet so scrumptious. The staff (sorry I forgot to ask for their name) are so nice and friendly. We will definitely go back for more yummy burgers. 😊
