The Fish Shop- Sevenoaks

Such a lovely shop. I wanted to buy everything! Everything seemed so fresh. The fish in the counter were all so big! We fancied a fish/seafood dinner, so we bought a few bits. We bought mussels, clams, a sea bream and some scallops. We usually buy fish from the fish counter in Waitrose.. The fish and shellfish from The Fish Shop are heads and shoulders above anything any supermarket can offer. The quality is just out of this world. Usually, when you go to a fish counter in a supermarket or a regular fishmonger, there is often a fishy smell. This was not noticeable at The Fish Shop. The shop was very clean and well presented. Everything was so fresh! We enjoyed our dinner very much. Thank you, The Fish Shop. We will be back for sure (next time, I will be getting a big Dover Sole!!)l!

Greg and The Fish Shop are such an important presence in Sevenoaks. The quality of produce he provides is second to none, and he and his staff are always welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate. Whether you are a seafood aficionado or a novice, the team here will find you something that will work for you and your budget. You simply cannot get anywhere near this quality of seafood in the supermarket and what you will buy will be worth every penny and you will know you are supporting a local business and also underappreciated fishermen.

It’s definitely also worth checking out some of the prepared food that is on offer. Greg is an incredible chef, and it will be better value than a takeaway. Coming up to Christmas too, the seafood platters are a fantastic present (particularly to yourself! )

Wow! I’ve had to jump straight on my phone to give a fantastic review. We’ve just finished our monk fish we brought yesterday and it was AMAZING. Greg, you are a true gent and your recommendation and recipe has gone down a treat. Looking forward to returning for our next dinner party.

Bought some oysters and mussels from The Fish Shop today. They kindly shucked the oysters for me and packed them in an ice-filled container - such good service, plus they were delicious. The Shetland mussels were excellent - plump, tasty, orange in colour. Nothing like the anaemic offerings in the local supermarkets. Will definitely be back as the tuna, swordfish and mackerel all looked amazing and super-fresh. Lovely to finally have a proper fishmonger in Sevenoaks.

A fabulous local fishshop with fresh produce at reasonable prices. We have enjoyed great quality salmon and monkfish from them. I also appreciate they way they advise on how to cook the fish. An independent shop well worth supporting.

Since The Fish Shop opened, I have bought oysters , shrimps, hot smoked salmon , line caught wild sea bass - all delicious. Today we had a whole smoked mackerel which my father (who has lived in Sevenoaks for 40 years) declared "the best smoked mackerel I have ever eaten in my life" Tonight we are having their home made fish pie. Sevenoaks is lucky to have this phenomenal fish shop in the town.

I bought oysters(shucked and carefully packed in ice), large cooked prawns and white crab meat. Everything was excellent. I will be ordering lobster and oysters for Christmas. The service was friendly and I was given a demonstration of how to shuck an oyster.

Bought some clams today. Professional, friendly service and clean shop. Clams tasted wonderful. So nice to have a proper fishmongers in town.

Fantastic selection and quality. There’s been many occasions I wanted to go, but they’ve been closed. Maybe there’s something good about not being open 24/7 like Sundays in most of Europe.
