Very dog friendly and food was amazing.
I had Halloumi burger and hubby had Pork Belly both were delicious

Village open day (Sunday 12 May 2024) with band playing in the garden. Morris Dancers also entertained patrons in the garden and car park.

Lovely village pub in the most picturesque settings. The interior is to a high standard and has a real warmth to it. We've been a few times under different management and what always remains is an obvious enjoyment for what it is they do. The staff make a pointed getting to know their regulars bout not at the expense of those, like myself who hardly frequent. Us strangers are made to feel just as welcome.
I came for a Christmas meal and it was delicious. Everything was cooked well ans the vegetable sides were flavoursome, not just a soggy afterthought.
The price was very reasonable for the huge amount of food we consumed!

Far from the sea but they have it sorted. I rarely give 5 stars. Food is always top class here and the family running it have attention to detail that is second to none. Well worth the trip!

Was here for a private party in the old school room, the bar service was very good and there was plenty of food.

Delicious Sunday lunch. Roast Turkey and a Nut Roast. Both really nice and hot. Great vegetables and the cauliflower cheese was a much appreciated extra.

You will never be disappointed by the food. Lovely beer garden, where you can sit as the church clock chimes and enjoy a decent pint whilst the ducks chatter around you. Great selection of drinks and main meals… one of our favourite pubs.

Finally made it to this pub for an annual afterparty lunch for many. The events room out back next to the kitchen was perfect for us. Great roast.

Went here for a friend's birthday party in their function room. Lovely pub fantastic atmosphere from the locals and attentive bar staff. Food provided for the party was lovely.

A very nice two course meal last night. Fresh and very tasty. The pub itself was clean, friendly and had a good atmosphere. Would certainly visit again.

My boyfriend and I were here for a roast a few weeks ago, it was amazing!! Great value for money, lovely staff and nice atmosphere. The food is incredible! We would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We visited the Bushel for food with friends on a Saturday night as we wanted to try out the new chefs food. We were all blown away with the quality of food, that we returned again for the Sunday roast the next day!

We had 3 courses which are all reasonably priced and all prepared freshly. Would 100% return and have even booked for burns night next week.

Thank you to the Bushel team for always taking care of us. We are enjoying the new chef and having Vicki front of house as she is so welcoming!

Believe the menu changes slightly each week, which is great as you get to try different foods, but recommend the fish and chips as the peas are to die for and the batters light!

Welcoming atmosphere and very dog friendly. Free dog biscuits at the bar and staff will get your dog a water bowl. Good selection of human food and a range of places to sit.

Cannot say enough about the food and service at the Bushel. Had a fabulous Sunday Roast with friends, service was excellent and everyone loved the food. Lovely surroundings in the restaurant area. Vicki and team make you feel welcome, a year round treat.

The service is outstanding. We come here every week, the service is divine and the beer selection is great. They manage the perfect balance between local pub and social hub. Would recommend to any pub enthusiast.

We visited the Bushel & Strike as our first choice restaurant wasn't able to fit us in. We weren't quite sure what to expect and had to wait a while for a table. However, all of us said that it was by far the best roast dinner we'd had anywhere. Great portions, good price and it was beautifully cooked. The waitress was very friendly and a great host. Choice of local ales was good, and it's great to see local breweries being supported. We'd definitely go back, and next time it won't be a second choice!
