The Rose & Crown

Absolutely lovely staff and service - at first we went to the three tuns but the atmosphere was awful and staff rude. We left after 10 mins and thought we would give the rose and crown a go - will definitely be back for a casual evening meal!

Epic country pub, landlords so welcoming (even Sam - LOL) and great staff.... brilliant food, engaging staff and awesome selection of beer, wine, etc..... defo a must visit if you are driving through or looking for somewhere new to try....

Just passing popped in for early lunch. Not very busy but had an excellent meal. Me Burger&chips my wife tuna jacket potato. Washed down with a good pint of Timothy Taylor. Service was friendly and welcoming. Pub was in good order looked like the painting had been recently refreshed.
The meal doesn't sound like much in this review but it was 1st class. Highly recommended.

Wow! What a find! This local, understated pub serves the best food. We had the the haddock and chips, beautifully presented on a hot plate with the most delicious thin crispy ale batter, delicious. My husband had the sausage and mash, again beautifully presented and every mouthful a treat. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert, what can I say!! A warm welcome with great service, we will be back, This pub run be Sian and Sam is a real find! We will be back. Richard & Jo

Very accommodating for a good number of our hungry and tired Tribe. Pre booked 14 of us for Sunday grub, and definitely would return.

We had lunch here, very friendly, efficient bar staff. The food was excellent, my husband had truffle and parmesan fries, his favourite, and he said these ones were second only to the ones he had last year in Yarm, which were so good he's still raving about them. Well done Rose and Crown. Dog friendly too, thank you.

New owners had only been there week and were extremely friendly and helpful with gluten free options for my fiancé, I had the pie of the day and it was gorgeous! Will deffinatly return

We had a lovely meal for 17 people, including children and the service and food was spot on.

Just dropped in for a lunchtime pint. A very nice atmosphere. Dog friendly. Would visit again.

Had a beautiful meal this evening with my partner. Food was super quick and tasted insane! Served by a lovely lady named Fifi who was very efficient and friendly! 100% recommend and definitely coming back!! The other chap was Also rather present, didn’t catch his name though! Really enjoyed our time!

No airs and graces just a proper pub with genuinely friendly staff. Dog friendly, open fire and good food.

Beautiful food & outstanding service.
The bar staff were really friendly & helped us choose where to go the next day for breakfast.
Decor was dates but it had such a homely feel to it.

We had lunch today in this lovely traditional village pub. Delicious food, friendly staff but no one else was eating there! Definitely worth a visit for good, tasty traditional pub food! A very enjoyable lunch out with friends.
