The Kings Head Inn, home of The Acle Steak

Breakfast with a friend here today was a pleasant surprise, 1st visit to Acle steak as it has never really appealed to me from outside.... however, following school drop off made sense to try it & so glad we did!!

Both the eggs benedict and the English breakfast were well presented & tasted good. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, service non intrusive so perfect for a catch up and easy to chat without being overheard, Highly recommend the food, atmosphere & service.. can't comment on the quality of the rooms as obviously there for food not to stay.

We came here for a Sunday dinner and it was amazing!
First of all, they had a plenty of tables during the high times, so the place was quiet, with nice music and delicious food served fast enough.
The ribs were meaty and juicy, the mushroom pasta creamy and smooth, the Sunday roast juicy and all the dishes were quite big.

The only small comment about Sunday roast - it was not have any greens, only cooked vegs, but happily I got greens from my son's pasta.

We came last night as a family of 10 to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious and the steaks melted in the mouth they were so tender. Our only regret were the chips. They were pale frozen french fries. The quality of the steak and every thing else was let down by them. You really need to serve hand cut chips which would enhance the meal so much. The young lady who served us was friendly and did a great job serving us and looking after the bar on her own.

This is our local, we just moved into Acle from Halvergate. I hear it's under new management at the moment, it's a lovely spot, great steak (steak frites is a favourite of ours). It has good veggie options too and caters really well to gluten-free. My partner is gluten free and loves the options and has had no negative reaction. On my latest visit I had the beef wellington which was a bit dear but it was delicious.

Excellent visit , this is the second visit and wasn't disappointed, staff as always amazing , already booked again,
The food is exceptionally good, breakfast is excellent value.

Service was great, the waiter was very attuned to our needs, I am on a low fodmap diet which can be very restrictive when eating out. The restaurant had loads of different options, substitutes, all clearly labelled. Great if you’re gluten or lacto free or vegan. Atmosphere was chill and quiet enough. Big portions and good value for money!

Really enjoyed my 2 nights ant The pub. The staff were great especially Sarah who was very helpful
The breakfast was the best I've had in a long time
The room was lovely new clean with drinks tray very good price i will definitely be back to stay when visiting family again.

Just been for an unplanned meal with my husband. Got a table straight away. Nice setting, had starter and main each both were faultless. Sarah was the waitress who was there on her own and the restaurant was full. She was helpfull and prompt and very good at her job. We had no complaints and look forward to returning.

Had a fabulous dinner and nights sleep at The King’s Head Inn Acle. The chicken burger for dinner was exactly as the picture and it was so delicious and freshly made. The room was clean fresh and modern. The shower was lovely! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Went for a meal with friends on Saturday evening. Our waiter was Liam A ….what a lovely friendly young man. Couldn’t do enough for us. He had lovely banter with us. Thank you Liam for making our lovely meal even more special.
Fully recommend this venue for a night out.

Lovely big room and bathroom with bath. Everything you need provided. Staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely restaurant too.

Great Location and excellent steaks, fast efficient service from both kitchen and front of house (Tracey). Will happily visit again when in the area 😀

Had a meal here last night with friends. It was very busy, staff very polite & smiley couldn't do enough for us. Had our meals food was excellent.

All the bad reviews seem minor and frankly petty. I love eating here the food is well cooked and tasty. If people aren't willing to pay for a steak they should stick to McDonalds.

Went for a meal about 3 weeks ago, along with my wife and son.
My wife and I both had the fish and chips, which we both agreed were very good. my son had Mac and cheese which was a very large portion and he loved it. Pub decor is nice and service was friendly. Will be going back very soon.

Went in late and we just managed to get served with good which was delicious went back following night food again delicious good ale went for breakfast next day as we were leaving for home. Breakfast was bad poached eggs for m we too much vinegar toast shot off plate when trying to cut it was disgusting . The staff were not good they kept opening doors for people to go out which was blowing a breeze so the rest of our partys food was cold . All in all evening service with the lads was great morning service and chef needs to be looked at I think. Will go again but not breakfast

We have just had a wonderful meal here, the ingredients were local and fresh, cooked to perfection (my rare rump steak was the best I have had for a long time) the service was good, a glass of water was brought to the table when I had a coughing fit and the desert was so tasty I did not want it to end. Even the condiments were of a high standard, the mayonnaise was so rich and creamy. Overall I can't wait to go back to try their Sunday lunch, I know it's going to be good.

Well worth a visit and sleepover. Good location, regular bus services. Calm atmosphere, Lovely restaurant, excellent food both Dinner and Breakfast. Welcoming staff and good sized comfy clean bedroom.
A rare find and great value.

This place was our first visit for my mums birthday and it was amazing, the service was amazing, the drinks were lovely we had wine and coffee as afters. The food was perfect all of our plates were empty
I will definitely be going again! I hope this stays for a long time

Highly recommend. Staff very friendly food good quality and value. Rooms was spotless bed very comfortable and top quality linen. Our room also had a big balcony over looking garden. Also take dogs. Would return.
