Carrick Knowe Golf Course

Great local council course. It’s simple, and good for average golfers. Quick, fun, well-designed for the space. When I played I could hear lions roaring from the Edinburgh zoo. I’d go back for sure. Photo is from the 18th tee

I walk my dogs here. It's a beautiful walk when you go all the way round the circumference. Keep the dogs to the side if golfers are preparing to hit that ball.
Lovely and quiet normally but crazy crowded due to lockdown.

Excellent course. Nice and flat with some challenging holes. Greens could do with better treatment though.

Best Edinburgh council course.

They do well to maintain this with limited resources so I've no problem with some untidy bits.

Beautifully-kept golf course. The views from the old, disused railway bridge is absolutely spectacular. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Broomhouse. Great for romantic walks in all seasons.

Very enjoyable golf course, particular good for those new to golf looking to learn as the course is more forgiving than some courses. Course is very well looked after for a council course and is reasonabley affordable price at £22 approx even cheaper if you have a friend as member at £13 a visit. Defineltly worth a visit !!

For a public course, Carrick Knowe is very well maintained, and full credit to the green staff. The course is flat, and even though it's tree lined, it's a forgiving course.

Great course open but still a challenge with small greens. Lovely staff and plenty of parking. Can play 9 or 18 so good value.

Played this morning course was really good ,greens where excellent ,held up well considering all the rain yesterday big thanks to the green staff

Good course easy to walk round greenst r Good only problem r the amount off dog walkers on the course accidents r waiting to happen hopefully no one gets hurt

Don't play golf, but it's very popular. Very nice to walk around, rather than through a housing estate

Very nice walk along the footpath dogs allowed on a lead and if it poops pick it up ☺
