Best coffee we've had in Scotland. James is a brilliant barista and the Inverness coffee roasting Co beans are fabulous.

- Great coffee.
- Reasonably friendly staff members. That said, the quality of coffee is still brilliant.

Lovely small coffee shop just beside the water. Excellent selection of hot and cold drinks and a personal favourite of mine is they offer a long black coffee. A selection of hot snacks but the main attraction is the ice cream and milkshakes. They have various substitutes for milk as well. Very reasonable prices and would highly recommend. The shop is very small but does have outdoor seats if the weather permits.

Just popped in to have a coffee whilst passing. Absolutely fantastic coffee, cakes and service from a young lady that was so pleasant and welcoming. The Milkbar was busy and she was serving in her own however she had fantastic customer service for everyone whom she greeted with a smile and never let anyone leave without inquiring about their day ahead and wishing them well with it. I hope it's her own business because genuine attentive service like this deserves all the success and reward it can get. What a positive start to the day.

Tried a decaf and caf flat white - both excellent. The locally roasted beans and local milk they use are both delicious and unique. Also had a malteser tray bake that was 10/10. Highly recommend ☕

I stopped for lunch in Inverness on my way to Glasgow, and fortuitously parked right down the block from the Original Milk Bar. Before continuing my journey, I walked into the Milk Bar for a cortado, and my mind was blown. Easily the best coffee I had in Scotland (and I sampled quite a bit). And I met the most delightful baristas, who were happy to chat with a tired American about Inverness, Glasgow and anything else Scotland.

The coffee and the milk were amazing, and just as good was the ice cream made with grass-fed Scottish milk. I brought a bag of beans back with me and have been grooving on that since my return home.

Wonderful place, great coffee, lovely baristas. I hope to go back next time I'm in the area.

I cannot rate The Original Milk Bar highly enough. Visited this morning for a coffee and cake. Staff were super friendly and the coffee was excellent, one of the best flat whites I've had in a long time (if not the best ever!) Will definitely visit again before we leave Inverness!

Lovely little place with a delightful interior and great coffee. They also offer tasty sweets and ice cream.

Not many places to sit inside, but you can sit outside or get everything for take away, even have snacks like brownies, cakes and blondies pre-cut to share with friends!

Highly recommend if you need a wee café to relax.

Milk Bar offers some of the best coffee in Inverness.

Also has a place in the Victorian market which definitely serves three best coffee in the Victorian market, as well as Cup and Cone.

Has the best croissants in Inverness from The Bakery as well as great ice cream from the one and only Black Isle Dairy.

Best indie coffee house in Inverness. Stunning views over the river. Nice interior of exposed brick and lots of wooden furniture, giving a warm, inviting feel. Staff are really friendly - good craic and conversation. Coffee is really decent and expertly crafted. Cakes a winner. Highly recommended.
