Stayed in this small hotel with friends for 3 nights last week. Never before have we found staff so friendly & helpful. They were just great. Had breakfast every morning and dinner on two of the nights and would happily dine there again. Rooms are quite basic but very clean & comfortable.

Well done to all involved in the Townhouse Hotel

We were in Arbroath just for the day; arrived early and ready for breakfast so finding The Townhouse Hotel was a real treat.
The food was fantastic-the menu was extensive so it was hard to choose but we both decided to go with the build your own breakfast option and we weren’t disappointed.
The staff were lovely and the eating area was warm and cosy. It’s obviously a very popular venue for locals and visitors alike as there was a constant stream of customers.
I picked up information about the hotel room facilities as I was so impressed.

Always my go to place for some lunch in Arbroath. Generous portions nicely presented can’t fault the food or service, caramel latte was perfect, staff so kind and attentive looked after me well thanks so much! …Photo there were more chips on the side than pictured, food was lovely thanks!

If I could give service 10 stars I would. The food is fantastic! The staff even better. Can't really comment on the rooms as never stayed but put 5* because it would be unfair to put Lower

We had an unexpected stay here on Saturday 21st October after been unable to travel home on bus because they had been cancelled. The staff were amazing and so lovely to us and our son. That meant so much because our son was struggling with the unexpected change to our plans because he has ADHD and Autism. The room was lovely and clean, we will be recommending this hotel anyone we know is after staying in Arbroth and hopefully we use the hotel again but under different and better circumstances. A really big thank you again to the staff, you are truly lovely and wonderful people

Stranded in Abroath due to Storm Babet. The road was closed and not even able to travel 12 miles home on public transport. Managed to find this very welcoming hotel. Darcy, the young lady who checked us in, was very sympathetic and helpful when we told her we needed a place to wash our clothes as we had nothing to wear. She offered to wash them for us at the premises. Wow!!!
The room was lovely. A little cold at first which was corrected with a portable heater once we spoke to the staff.
We had dinner at the restaurant. Impressed with the variety of their cocktail menu. We had scampi and chips, steak pie and beef stroganoff. All were served hot and delicious.
We often read about bad reviews given to other establishments, but as the consumer, if you do not raise the issue, the hotel or restaurant will not be able to rectify the issue on the spot. Don't wait till after to give them a bad review unless you have spoken to them, but they did nothing.
