Absolutely beautiful national trust park to visit. Something for everyone here. Great adventure playground for children of all ages, deer, house, lakes and parkland to wander around.

Had a great couple of hours here on a cool dark December evening.
The work that must go into the Christmas light trail is staggering.
From the first display around the pond to the last musically linked light show, there is a constant assault on the senses.
The colours are beautiful, and it is like an art show painted in lights and sound.
A couple of good outlets, and a half way house bar make this a really fun trip.

Lovely Christmas light display. I was a bit dubious before I went but glad I did, it was very enjoyable. A lot of effort had gone into it, all in all it was a very positive and memorable evening. Tickets seemed expensive, but everything from the parking to the adaptions to make the trial accessible was very good and organised.

The parklands alone are worth the entry fee. The massive adventure playground is a child's delight, and there is an excellent indoor play area with climbing and slides.

Came here on a coach trip to see the Christmas Light Trail. It was a magical experience from start to finish! There were helpful NT volunteers at the car park to direct us to the entrance. The cobbled courtyard had fairground rides and festive food stalls, and there was a large café with toilets (more toilets at the start of the trail) and a friendly gift shop. The trail is about a mile long and it took us about an hour and a half, walking at a very leisurely pace along easy, level and well signposted gravel paths through an enchanting wonderland of dramatic light installations, floodlit trees and beautiful seasonal music. Loved the changing colours of the "rose garden", the flickering torches in the fire garden and the origami boats on the pond. The paths were well lit but muddy in places so sturdy shoes are essential. There were marshalls along the route to keep us going in the right direction and a couple of stalls selling toasted marshmallows and seasonal drinks. The sound and light show at the house was a wonderful finale. Not cheap at £20 per adult (£14 for a child, under 2's go free) but for me it was an experience not to be missed!

Such a beautiful relaxing walk around the park. We managed to see several herd of deer, which was lovely. Unfortunately, the dog was grumpy because she had to stay on her lead.
