If you're looking for food involving truffle oil , towers of weird stuff or other chef-y nonsense you're probably best going up the road to another place . On the other hand , if you're looking for the best Sunday roast dinner you can get , at a hard - to - believe price , with hot fresh vegetables cooked properly by people who know what they're doing , served by friendly staff ( no indifferent teenagers here ) and a great pint , then it's the Crown every time . As we say every time we go to this gem of a pub .

What a lovely little hidden gem 💎 we went on a Thursday, steak night we had two beautiful steaks, cooked to perfection!🤤 And all the trimmings and a bottle of wine all for £34.00 super value for money, lovely friendly and efficient staff, a lovely cosy little family

The best pub meal we have ever had. Super child friendly with outstanding food and a brilliant pint. The waiter who served us, Kyle, went above and beyond. He is an absolute credit to the pub.

We were looking for a room last minute, managed to find this lovely pub! Very welcoming staff and amazing service! The room was amazing, spacious and really nicely done! Would definitely recommend even if not staying.

They took a booking for food for 10 of us for my sons 18th after being let down by another place at 6pm on a Friday evening. Within 5 minutes a table was set up for all of us and after a short wait we were tucking into some amazing food and drinks. We will definitely be back again

Just been for Sunday lunch, absolutely amazing, definitely recommend, the food and service was excellent, all the staff were so pleasant, already booked for next weekend. Doggie friendly in the bar area, lovely cosy room with log fire.

Oh WOW tried the Sunday roast for 1st time today! Awesome! Meat cooked to perfection and fabulous vegetables ,the cauliflower and cheesy broccoli were best ever!

Lovely traditional pub with a cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the ale was good. Cant fault the food very tasty starters main and pudding. Hope to visit again soon!

Called into this hotel on route to visiting family. My husband ordered Friday's fish, chips & peas & I had the Chilli & Nacho dish, with sour cream and guacamole. The fish was a large Haddock with lots of home made crispy batter. It was delivered very quickly and both meals were fabulous. The two meals were £15.90 so excellent value.
The place was very clean too. We will definitely call again when passing. Thank you Ye Old Crown Hotel.

Wow what a fantastic Sunday lunch. Beef melted in mouth and Yorkshire puds to die for. We both was naughty and had homemade Berry crumble. 😋

Had a family meal here last Friday. There were 7 of us. The staff were very friendly and professional. The barman was some kind of cocktail wizard. The food was lovely (my steak was perfect). Nice cosy place with a relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely little pub with good ale and lovely food. Staff were nice and seemed genuinely happy to see you. Locals were a little loud for the small rooms but who am I to complain it's their pub and everyone seemed to be having a good time.
