A hidden gem. What a fantastic musseum. Really nice collection of classic and military cars, and a really complete collection of military uniforms and all types of antiques.
The café is also a must to visit with fresh handmade cakes, cones, and sandwiches. The ladies in the café were dressing lovely uniforms from the second world war and always smiling. Loved the place, and I recommend it to everyone

Great display of history and vehicles. Only shame they didn't have a card reader. So worth taking cash. See the display and gain a great experience.

Really unusual collection of mostly WW2 military vehicles

Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be around Eton / Windsor on the last Sunday of the month

Tons of parking on site

What an experience to walk through history on wheels. Cars, bicycles, motorcycles, etc from WWII were well restored and unbelievable to see who drove these beautiful cars.

I took my time walking through and each item has a story to tell. I only saw these items in films and it is unbelievable to see them in real life. I cannot imagine how the soldiers lived through these horrible times. I was a bit emotional although I have had no family members participating in this war.

I paid about £7 and there is a cafe to eat. Enough parking and disability access.

A wonderful, quaint museum, very interesting collection, inside and out, wrap up warm in the winter and check they are open! Bring cash too for ease, but they do take paypal. Cafe makes a great cuppa and cheese toastie too.

The most unique experience we had. Cars from the war era and uniforms from those times. Most definitely recommend it.

Incredible place to visit for everyone who would like to see old cars, army equipment from WWII and learn a little bit more about history.
For the open days and times it is better to check on their website.
Unfortunately tickets are only available to buy on arrival, all staff are very friendly passionate and happy to share all the information they have.

A real gem that lays un discovered by most. Really enjoyed our visit here especially as it holds so many rare and unique exhibits. Friendly interesting staff, plenty of room to park and well worth the small charge for entry.
Will revisit again!!

Great place to visit for car lovers and see the history of cars. It's mainly military vehicles inside with military uniforms. It doesn't take too long to walk around viewing everything on show and reading all there is to read. I would advise going if you're in the area or passing by. It is out of the way but worth the visit.

History on Wheels is a great place down a quiet road in Eton Wick, you would probably not stumble into it however it is a lovely small bit of countryside with a museum of old motor vehicles and world war memorabilia. It is very interesting, a lot about Windsor and Eton, local towns during the war.
Dogs and Children allowed, there is a small cafe run by lovely people and a small shop with old books and things you wouldn't find elsewhere.
It is only open on specific weekends and days of the month, and you buy tickets when you get there.
Very friendly and good for a short trip out.
Worth a visit.
