Chertsey Restaurant

We were staying overnight at the local Travelodge and stumbled upon this gem.

The staff went above and beyond and were very polite and helpful.

The food was delicious and came to just under £70 for 3 people with a drink, so it's reasonably priced as well.

It seemed to be very popular with the locals with many knowing the staff on a first name basis. If you're in the area and in the market for an Indian give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

We are leving tomorrow, so sadly no second visit, but maybe we come back someday.

First time visiting. Food was very good and prices were good (mains around £5.50, sides £3.25, garlic naan £2.30). Dishes were full of flavour. Naan breads were perfect. They were happy to accommodate different dish requests.

The "screaming hot balti" was very indeed very hot!

Garlic chilli main we was very nice as was the korai and tarka Dal. Aloo chaat Puri and prawn Puri starters were great.

Friendly staff, although we visited at 10pm and were asked to order quickly (restaurant states that it is open until midnight on a Saturday. That was the only negative.

The restaurant has a nice selection of beers, with Cobra on draught and mongoose bottled beer 660ml. I haven't seen mongoose for years so it was interesting to try that (it's the original Cobra recipe). One friend had an Aspal's cider, it was a fancy version and 7% abv!

I'll try takeaway next time. If it's as good as it was when dining in, then this will be my new go-to for takeaway.

Mr T and Jay do a fantastic curry! Chicken tikka is excellent. The garlic chicken is a wow! The whole experience leaves you wanting more.

All the Anglo-Indian classics, plus some excellent chef specials we’ve never had at other Indian restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend. Excellent service, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Could not fault. Well done Chertsey Restaurant!!

I had an absolutely delicious meal here last night with my family. Friendly attentive staff. Definitely the best indian meal we have eaten for years good value too!

Brilliant food. Even though the waiter was on his own he done a fantastic job. Fair play.

Delicious hearty food served by brilliant owners. The care they took with the food and their customers was first class. I recommend the Lamb Hyderabad, a terrific dish! Can't wait to return.

Ordered a takeaway for the four of us and I must say it was probably one of the best curries I've had in recent years! The portion sizes are really good and all of our dishes were very authentic. We received a 10% discount for collection also. Highly recommended. 😀

I ordered a takeaway and thought I would get a drink in the pub next door the jack sparrow in which i found very welcoming and friendly
while awaiting my order not only was the food excellent but they delivered it to me where I was having a drink absolutely brilliant service and 1st class food thankyou chertsey restaurant

Best Indian restaurant for miles.

I have been using the Chertsey Indian restaurant for a number of years.
I must say I found them very reliable when I get a delivery and excellent food.
The best Indian food around. The Bombay Aloo potatoes are the best I've ever known.

Great food reasonable price good service

A Really nice Indian restaurant with exceptional food and attentive service. We used to use here all the time when Zilu was working there, but didn't go for a little while as we didn't think it would be the same without him. Well we gave it another try and are hooked again as the food is still spectacular, the place is spotless and the staff are really pleasant. In fact we are going for a cheeky little meal again this evening.

This has to be one of the best restaurants I have visited. The food was extremely beautiful and well presented. The staff made you feel so welcome and comfortable. All I can say is amazing....

Visited for the first time last night and was very impressed. The food and service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Tandoori Mixed Grill and Chicken Naga. Will definitely be returning soon. Thank you

What can I say. This is the hidden gem of Chertsey. The food here is absolutely amazing. The staff here provide an amazing service and are willing to go above and beyond. Would highly recommend!
