Bedford Road Surface Car Park

Visiting from Melbourne Australia. Arrived at Guilford RWS Carpark in my hire car to find no spaces. Then found this car park which was a short walk over a pedestrian foot bridge to the RWS.

Didn't have enough coins to use at the machine but you can ring a telephone number to use your Visa card. The automated voice message system is brilliantly faultless and so easy to follow confirming your car registration color and make. I initially booked for 4 hours at £5 which showed on my visa as $8.80. Very fair price.

While visiting the tourist sites in London I realized I was going to be late back so I rang the number again and the automotive service immediately recognized my number linked to my car and allowed me to extend my car park time by 2 hours! I ended up ringing a second and extended it for another 2 hours!

We really should use this phone payment system in Melbourne!!! Extremely impressed!
