Just returned from one of the best trips ever. A quick suggestion of a road-trip led to picking (at random) Loko Campers mainly for their location and I think we struck gold. The van was faultless, comfortable, and the attention to detail in this conversion was incredible. Travelling up and down narrow country lanes and then parking up next to very wide-bodied camper vans made me appreciate the dimensions of the short wheel-base too. In fact it has, in one week, turned our view of camping upside down. Formerly a die-hard canvas exponent I am now wondering why I never tried this before.
There are several reasons for this change:

1) The set-up time once you get to a campsite, wild or otherwise, is ridiculously quick, we reckoned 10 mins max!

2) If it rains, so what! No worries about that.

3) If you like change just pack up and go, no big deal!

I would like to offer a genuine recommendation to use Loko Campers; Tania guided us through the process from beginning to end in a very professional and friendly manner, leaving us with the definite feeling that we will be back for more! Thanks for making our trip such a success!

We rented out the VW Ocean for a 13 day trip all arround the UK. From Brighton to John O' Groats this Campervan was everything we could have wished for.
Comes fully equipped with everything you need for the on board kitchen. And in an immaculate state too!

Returning was very easy and flexible on times. For a small fee they take care of the cleaning. Basically leave you without any worries before AND after your holiday!

We hired a California Ocean from Loko Campers recently for a fortnight's travelling in UK. As well as all of the standard equipment we also made great use of the bike rack that they supplied as an added extra, which proved to be exceptionally easy to use and very effective. This is the second time we have used this terrific company and both times our experience has been brilliant. Yes, the prices aren't cheap - but in this world you get what you pay for and for us they are great value for money. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a well organised, friendly and helpful organisation. We will be back I'm sure.

Customer service was amazing and the van was just out of this world. It had everything we needed for our week in Europe, super comfortable, and really stylish.

It was the perfect addition to our wedding day and gave us the honeymoon to remember. We were sad to give her back.

My family and I (two adults & two kids) hired a stunning t6.1 from Loko campers in April. The campervan and accessories were in great condition and in addition to this the customer service was equally as impressive. Tania and Andrew were only to happy to answer any questions we had, and we had lots, they talked us through the van in great length and were happy to offer tips and advice to ensure we would get the most out of our experience and trip.

We would highly recommend them and if you are looking to try a California before buying one, this is the place to go because there experience is invaluable.

I can fully recommend Lokocampers to anyone considering trying a campervan for the first time like us.
The van was very clean and easy to drive for a first timer even down some tight Devon roads!
The handover was very detailed and gave me much more confidence in using the van for a weeks adventure.
We loved all the storage areas in the van and the little welcome pack came in handy. The flexibility in collection and
bringing back the van was great and from start to finish everything went smoothly. We will be back again next year that's for sure!

We had a great experience with LokoCampers. We are a family of 4 and hired a VW California for a week. The van was brand new and very well equipped. Very comfortable, the design was superb and it was very easy to drive. A lot of fun, kids loved sleeping in roof!

We hired a VW California Ocean Camper from Loko Campers. Tania was brilliant? Providing us with a top of the range 1 year old camper in immaculate condition both in and out.

This slept 2 adults and 2 children (kids in the roof). The van was fully kitted out with fridge, gas hob and washing up facilities with build in water supply supply.

We took the van up-to N Wales Snowdonia and had a very relaxed and independent break. The kids loved it. Just being able to stop wherever you fancy was true freedom.

This was the first time we had hired or even used a camper van. The van was immaculate and in perfect condition. Loko spent as long as it took demonstrating all the gadgets. They were really flexible on pick up and drop off to be there for times that suited us. We had a great week, the children loved it and really all we had to do was turn up and drive it off. We would thoroughly recommend them.

Another great week in an immaculate van borrowed from the friendly team at Loko Campers. We wanted to try out a van before committing to buying one and so found Loko Campers who are based nearby. We have now had 2 wonderful weeks in their vans (we tried the SE with the built in kitchen but found that for us there was more room and flexibility in the stripped out Beach version). We have just returned from some wonderful days and nights splashing about at the beach and been nibbled by new forest ponies when camping in the trees at Hollands Wood.

The only dilemma is that the vans are all so immaculate and new / nearly new, so our plans to buy have been scuppered since we cant afford a new one and now we wont settle for anything less. Having done the sums it is actually more cost effective to rent anyway. We are looking forward to many more trips with a LokoCampers van (and at this rate we may have to ask for a loyalty card!). Highly recommended!

On a trip from Lapland to the UK for my Mother-in-Law's 80th birthday, we were trying to find an easy way to stay near her house, which was already going to be full of other family members.

We hit on the idea of hiring a camper van, something we had never tried before, found LokoCampers via Google and contacted them.

This was only a couple of days before we travelled, so we still had some organising to do, but the team at LokoCampers and Pippa in particular, could not have been more helpful!

As well as quickly arranging a fantastic Volkswagen California camper van for us at a great price, they arranged to have us collected at Heathrow the previous evening AND booked accommodation for us at the nearby Percy Arms (about 200 yards from their yard).

When we collected the van, Pippa was on hand to give us a tour of all the functions and facilities of the California van, which fits an amazing amount into a small vehicle, not much larger than a standard "People carrier". These are far easier to drive than I had imagined, and with lots of parking assist facilities, very easy to get into small spaces!

This is certainly something we will try again. The California was amazingly spacious and far more comfortable to sleep in than we had ever imagined. We still don't understand how the overnight heating works without the engine running, but work it certainly does.

The team at LokoCampers could not have been more helpful, or pleasant and easy to deal with, and we will definitely hire from them again.
